Hey guys!
I figured I'd get on here, and share my story as a "born again" vaper
About 3 years ago, My Girlfriend and I vaped exclusively for about 5 months. I lurked on this forum for info, but I never joined. Due to the limited technology back then, and what I lacked in my wallet, we were rocking DSE-901's that I purchased from a vendor in China. I made a 5 volt pass-thru, and that was the beginning of the end. I got a really satisfying vapor, but it lacked portability. Batteries were just terrible. Not capable of providing anything as satisfying. The Girlfriend wouldn't use a pass thru, and really wasn't satisfied with what she was getting with the stock manual batteries, either. We went back to analogs.

Fast-forward to a couple weeks ago:
The Girlfriend I was using the 901's with has now been my ex for over a year. We still talk now and then, but we moved VERY far away from eachother. She is now in California, and due to laws and such governing cigarette use, and the high price of analogs out there, she decided to give the 901's a try again. (I let her keep all the vaping stuff we had) She discovered she needed some working batteries, and texted me to see if I could remember where we used to buy our e-cigs from, and what model they were. I was at my computer at the time, and got the information for her after a quick google search. While I was looking, I ran into some sites in the USA selling cheap kits and ego-style stuff. WAY bigger MaH ratings, and longer life. Cartomizers weren't a bad word describing pre-filleds you got from the guy at the mall, made to work with the terrible 510 and 901 kits they sold for way too much. E juice companies EVERYWHERE. Lots of choices at reasonable prices, etc, etc... I was intrigued, to say the very least!

I started by google searching "E cigarette reviews" and found this site (again), and P.Busardo's website. I went into full information-suck mode! I found TasteYourJuice.com to be a great go-to for reviews. I found his recommendations and reviews for new vapors, and ended up buying a nice little ego clone kit with smoketech-style dual-coil mega cartos, and a really big bottle of 16mg juice (I knew kinda what I needed in my juice from my first attempt with vaping). I was in love at first vape... That was 15 days ago, and I haven't touched an analog since. I now have some vivi nova tanks, some yummy juices from EC Blends, and a Evolv kick coming via mail. It looks like I picked a great time to start back into vaping, as Michigan is having it's first national-scale show a few miles from my home this weekend! I'm looking forward to meeting local vapers, and picking up a nice tube mod and some batteries to go with that kick! :p

Anyway, this ended up being a little more verbose than I had planed, but it's my story. Hello everyone, it's good to be here (again).

Hey Joe - I'm just like you, except I buy things first THEN read about them. It's a sickness. Congratulations on your quit - now maybe you'd like to explain just what in the heck is going on in that coffee cup???

It's nice to meet you, Lisa! Those are actually stuffed mice from IKEA... They are my desk companions at work. The coffee mug they are in actually says ""GGMR" on it, which is an acronym for "Gotta get more rats!" One of my other hobbies is keeping and showing fancy pet rats. Weird hobby, I know, but seriously, BEST... PET... EVER!

Congrats and welcome (back)!

Yes, things have changed a lot over the years. Based on your enthusiasm, it sounds like you might just be successful this time.
Pbusardo is a great source of information. I love all his little inventions he comes up with to test stuff like the tank-carto-puller-tester.

Good luck and happy vapes!

P.S. the same batteries we use now existed back then, they were just REALLY expensive.
Yeah they were! I remember ego kits for $99.99, while my little 901's from china came out to about $30 shipped. Money is also a non-issue at this point, That is to say I can buy some tanks and juice for $60 and not really have to think too hard about it... Things like the Provari kit I came up with, with the blue display, and the extention, and 2 full sets of both kinds of batteries, and the extended warranty, all together for about $300.... Yeah... that's gonna require either a decent bonus from work, or some saving up on my part. That's why I'm taking baby steps, and moving upto a kicked bolt (or similar) for now.
