I was a 5 cigarettes a day smoker before I found V2 cigs. It has been a journey thus far!

However, let's start by clarifying some things:

1. I AM NOT COMMISSIONED BY V2 CIGS FOR THIS REVIEW!
2. I WILL NOT BETRAY MY READER! THESE ARE MY OPINIONS ALONE!

Now for the review:
I ordered their "Economy kit" which came with 1 standard battery, 2 5 packs of cartos (your choice), a charger, and a few 'Referral Cards'. I then ordered a metal case, a car charger, and 2 more 5 packs of cartos.

Free shipping took as long as they said it would. Painful waiting for it.

During the process it was hit and miss as to customer service tracking my order. Some would shove the ususal "9 to 14 days" in your face, others would give you an estimated delivery date. I live in an area where it snows just about every day. So, I need to know accurately when packages come in, to rescue them from the snow.

Customer Service (rated from 1 being awful to 10 being great) 5

After I received my kit, I cracked it open, fully charged the battery, and threw on a cartridge. The connections were smooth and solid. I primed my cartridge, and was happily vaping, until a few hours later, I tasted something funny. I look at my cartridge and found that it was LEAKING juice???!!!

So, I wiped it away and ignored it. Then the next morning, I had a dead battery. Remember, I only smoke about 5 cigs a day, so I am not a HEAVY vaper, but I like my long, draws. That not only killed my cartos within a day and a half (their claims about being 1 pack of cigs is a direct lie. I go through a pack of cigs in 4 days, not 1 and a half!!!!!!!!!!!!)

However, I have tried their V2 RED, Cherry, Grape (Limited), and Cola (Limited). Flavors are good, although V2 Red is a bit nutty in my opinion. However, towards the end of the carto, the flavor dies, and then after 20 puffs or so, it tastes smokey. Like something is burning. How is this better for me if it is burning??!!!

And for the accessories. DO NOT BUY THE METAL CASE! It will not fit more than 4 cartos at a time, and one battery that does not have a carto attached. The standard battery with a carto attached will not fit in this case ! And the charger, be prepared for it to flash from red to blue, until it is done charging. That is apparently "normal"

Product Quality: 1

Value: 1

I am dissatisfied to the point that I am going to return this. I do not advise buying this product. Save your money, do it right. Invest in a Variable Voltage mod, like the Lavatube V2 or the Provari V 2.5. Those mods will treat you right :D

I only smoked at work due to my wife. I will say my vaping habits have changed. Now, since my wife tends to approve, I can use it more often than less. I only wanted to put some true dirt out there on them, since no one else has the courage to. Most of the sites I read were made by people commissioned to write positive reviews, so that they could make money. I am not commissioned to sell anything ;)

I am in now way affiliated with V2, but I have a special place for them in my heart, or better yet, my lungs. They were the first ecigs I started on. And being a pack a day smoker for about 15 years I owe them for getting me off analogs. I was vaping on V2 for about a year before I upgraded. I was really impressed with their menthol, because I was exclusive to menthol cigarettes. I did try their coffee, vanilla, chocolate, and cherry. The only one I did not care for was the chocolate. I'll admit that I had a few bad cartos, but I would just contact their customer service and they would replace the bad cartos that I had. I had to deal with them returning a few batteries because they just died on me, but they did replace them.

Only about 8 months are I found out that there was a whole new world to vaping, I assumed that the ecigs was the only option. I purchased an ego, then moved onto a provari, now I am on mechanicals.

My advise is to keep trying their customer service until you feel satisfied with the product, it worked for me.

I started with V2 also...but it just wasn't getting to me. I found this place and quickly upgraded to ego and a spinner twist. I now am a proud mama to a brand new Vamo!

I still use my V2 battery from time to time when I get a real hankering for a cig...especially after a big meal or when I am really stressed. A little 555 loaded up in it and it always does the trick!

V2 was my start; my roommate bought one and he went from a pack a day to nothing in no time. I ended up in the hospital with a VERY serious condition that resulted in me having to be an outpatient daily for months. Well, I couldn't show up at the hospital smelling like smoke, so I needed an alternative and I ordered a V2 kit. I got annoyed with their shipping pretty quickly, short-lived and terrible burnt carto taste, and soon realized I could do a whole lot better for my money when I discovered this site through Slick Deals. But I'm thankful that for all V2's flashy advertising on websites, dubious reviews, etc. that I at least got pointed in the direction of ecigs and started on my journey. They opened a door. I sure wouldn't STILL be vaping, however, if I were just relying on their product.

If you are just starting out, you can buy a nice eGo kit, some clearos and a whole lot of yummy juices for the price of what that charging set, batteries and cartos for V2 cost. ECF members will all have an opinion too on the "best" setup lol but I would suggest a Variable Voltage eGo type that includes 2 batteries. I do like my Vivi Nova Clearo (Gotvapes.com) on my backup unit, it is so easy to swap out the heads and clean. And I just got enough ejuice from Mount Baker Vapor to last a good 6 months, for under $60. There was 225ml total in 8 bottles. Vaping can and should be way cheaper than V2, and of course smoking. The savings made up for the splurge on my $400 Provari/Cobra setup. Lol heck I spent $50 on a handmade drip tip.

I keep looking at that little banner I have on my sig and realize that yep, I have probably saved $1000 since the summer.

I am currently using v2 and looking to upgrade. Not because it doesn't work, but I just want a better battery life. Honestly, I enjoy the v2. I tried blu before and I guess my expectations for vaping were pretty low. I have now happily been off cigarettes completely for over a week and am not looking back at all. I previously smoked almost a pack and a half a day.

Since my girlfriend and I started using the V2 we haven't smoked. We even have gotten my roommate on board as well as her mother, her brother, his wife and one of my coworkers to stop smoking, all using V2.

My cartridges lasted a day but I immediately went with their clearos and blank cartos filled with vendor liquids. This has made the product more enjoyable and affordable than buying their pre-filled cartridges. To each their own, I guess. I hope you find what you're looking for and you continue to vape.

I hear y'all when comparing V2 to larger battery and tank systems.. but what's the point? Like comparing the ride in a compact car to a luxury full-sized vehicle. Flawed.

As far a e-cigs go in this size range and using carts, V2 in my experience has been good. Their batteries, while not a 1300 mAh VV system, are good quality. Their juices are limited, but some of them are excellent like Red and Sahara (to me, anyway). So are their blank carts and pre-filled KR808 sytle carts. I have also had good experience with their CS, overall.

If you want bigger equipment, well.. shucks. Go somewhere else. They don't supply it. And for juices, well.. same thing. There are 1000's of juices out there at a variety of suppliers... some good, some not so good. But overall, for the KR808's, V2 supplies solid equipment, a very good warranty policy (albeit, you do pay a little more for V2 even after their coupons), and solid customer service.

I personally had a poor experience with V2, but it was most likely due to the sample pack I ordered which had mixed nicotine strengths and horrible packaging, as well as the customer service I received when I complained about it. I have to admit the battery worked great, most of the flavors weren't for me besides Red. If you're determined on using a cigalike i'd recommend SI or Halo because they seem to have a lot of credibility here. You can check out my review for opinions on halo: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/standard-e-cigarette-reviews/391946-my-e-cig-review-halo-g6-vs-v2-cigs.html

I started about five days ago on V2s. Got a standard kit with a manual and auto battery, two sets of five cartos (one 8mg Congress and the other 14mg Sahara). I got the damn Portable Charger Case but it was "out of stock" and apparently is still out of stock and I don't know if they'll ever ship it to me. That kind of pisses me off.

Shipping takes forever. Even 20$ shipping takes, ostensibly, 3-4 business days. God help you if you order on Thursday.

Anyway, as for the product itself a lot of what's been said here is true - the burning taste that happens after vaping the carto for a while is awful; it tears up your throat and you just can't go on. It feels like your smoking burning paper. Cartos don't last very long, which I guess is to be expected. Batteries die too fast, which I guess, again, is to be expected, given what they are.

Otherwise, I really dig the simplicity of it, and I love the Sahara flavor. Love it. The problem is I vaped these suckers all day and night and still jones'd for a ciggie. I just didn't feel anything really, and I decided to order some apollos, which didn't arrive soon enough (before I ran out of my starter cartos), so I ran to a smoke shop and got something the guy said was an apollo, but the logo doesn't say that, so I have no idea. All I know is there's a clearo on it and I bought some 18mg liquid in Red and Blackberry flavors, and it's much much much more potent than the V2s.

Nonetheless I still like the V2s, and I'll keep using it occasionally simply for the Sahara flavor- something about that one just stuck with me. I just never could quit ciggies with the V2s. Cut down a lot - yes. Cut down to zero - no.

Overall, I gather with my limited knowledge that they're not bad for what they are; but all things considered in the world of vaping they're crap (someone made a good analogy earlier about cars). Mostly I just like the simplicity of them, as I said before - this technical stuff in the higher reaches of vaping is like Linear B to me; I've got this clearo gadget and I have no idea what it is or even how to find out. Frankly, I don't even know what a clearomizer is. I just know I have one on my "apollo which is not really an apollo," or whatever.

Ok, too off-topic.

I like V2s in sum, but acknowledge their shortcomings. They're a beginning, for most people anyway, not an end.

Don't know about volts. But I did order Phoenix bottom coil 808 for my v2. Don't really work. I've filled them no probs, but one didn't work at all and the others only work on the manual. So gone back to liqumax clear from v2, which work great, leaked a bit though in to drip tip, which is annoying! I just stand them upright when not using. Not great for on the go. That's why I went for Phoenix. Yeah I'm gonna get a upgrade to ego or some thing, but v2 are a good place to start. Uk customer service was pretty good. Begin with the carts as real easy, but for vapour, taste and variety go liquid in clearomizers, none of that filler sheet.
