Hello all - I'm a long time lurker and first time poster on these boards. I have returned after an unfortunate foray back to land of analogs. Now, I am ready to buy another PV and return to the greatness that is vaping.

I'm registered here to try and find a replacement for my current (non-functioning) device.

My first, and only, e-cig was a Go-Go - which I loved. I purchased this a few days after it came on the market, from a member here who opened up a new business just to sell them. Now, a year and a half later, I have no idea what's current and what's great on the market.

Should I just buy more GoGo stuff? Are there any real alternatives that can come close to the awesome experience I had with the GoGo? I remember I purchased a few tanks for it, and that was the end-game. I had found the PV for me. Now though, all my supplies and stuff are in random states of disrepair, and I'm looking to replace.

Thanks in advance.

Curious (cautionary tale maybe) - what sent you back to analogs?

Well, what it comes to, convenience.

I had a few GoGo batteries fail on me, then finally got a replacement but my tanks weren't working then. The tanks I had back then were first run products, still buggy. They were leaking, then I had two out of 3 fall apart - the glue holding the plastic outer to the metal base failed.

I just got fed up with it and bought a pack - then I'm sure you know how that goes.

That said, I'm really ready to get back into it. I don't mind a little fiddling with devices, I enjoy that aspect to a point, but I do want something reliable I can take with me every day.

Thanks.

The Vision Spinners are a top rated VV (Variable Voltage) battery. You're also going to need a eGo Rapid USB charger for the battery. Next, I'd get a 5 pack of Boge 510 cartomizers with a SMOKTech DCT Tank. Or if you don't want to worry about your tank cracking from certain juices (e-liquid), check out IBTanked glass tanks with stainless steel caps. If you are able to find some polypropylene tanks, those are also resistant to cracking from certain juices. Most of the plastic tanks though are either polycarbonate or acrylic (both of which crack). Just to add, MtBakerVapor is a solid juice supplier when you are ready to buy.

Thanks, I'll look into the devices you suggested. I usually like to get my juice from Mr. E Liquid, any idea how they compare to the supplier you listed?

Edit: techmatlock - thanks for the suggestions, but I have a friend that has a similar setup to the one you listed and I personally don't like it. It seems janky - If I use a tank i'd like it to be a single unit, not something that piggybacks onto standard carts. Besides the functional issues, I don't prefer the look of it either. Hopefully, the new device could be sleek!

MtBakerVapor has the cheapest prices, notorious for fast shipping, very friendly staff, and they 200+ juices to select from as well as building your own juice. You can sort through their best selling flavors here and there's also a thread on here for reading people's experiences and favorite juices from them. Oh ok, no worries. Then you'd want a clearomizer instead or an atomizer to drip.

Note: I'm sure you already know this, but in the first post I forgot to mention that you'll need a drip tip for the tank or an atomizer if you choose to drip.

Welcome back, rdwing!

I'd like to help you out. I know you are not new, but to get you back up to speed, I have some recommendations. I've written a blog for "beginners" which has a recommendation of a popular setup for new vapors, yet it is advanced enough that you won't need an upgrade for quite some time. I also have a picture dictionary of the more common juice delivery devices.

You can access the blog by clicking the number "6" by blog entries under my avatar.

Good luck on your continued journey into vaping and finally putting away those stinkies for good.

I started with the Joyetech Ego-C Twist 1000mah. It last me all day and night. I bought a Stardust clearomizer as it's easy to fill. I've haven't had any issues with them and no crackage since I don't use acidic or minty liquids in them. It's an easy start up and reasonably priced. I carry this around during the day and have a 650mah twist for a backup. I do have an advanced system to use at home as in the long run I'll only have to buy new batteries, cartomizers and juice which is cheaper than buying a new Ego-C battery.

The bottom line is whatever you start with, make sure you have a backup at all times that way you'll never be tempted to go back to analogs. Good luck!!!

Thanks everybody - The clearomizers are exactly the tanks I was referring to - glad to know what they are called now. So, so far I've only decided that whatever device I want needs to have clearomizers available for it. Next decision is which battery to buy...the GoGo's were simple on-off but worked really well, had a good voltage from 4.2-3.7, but it seems like battery tech has really changed. Lost in a sea of batteries!

Welcome back rdwing!

If less than stellar hardware is what sent you back to the stinkies then I dare say you're stepping back into a whole new world. I tried hard to like vaping about 4 years ago but the crappy cig-a-likes were not remotely functional or enjoyable enough to compel me to switch.

If you're looking for simple, reliable, affordable and clearomizer compatible I'll cast another vote for the 1300mah Vision Spinner, and if that's too big for you then pretty much any Joyetech eGo but especially the twist which is available in a few different sizes.

They can be found cheaper but I've always had good experiences buying from The Electronic Cigarette Super Store | myvaporstore.com. The products they sell are genuine, not knockoffs.

I have no experience with Kanger bottom coil clearos. Many many many people love them but the only two people I know personally that have used them had deal breaking leak issues so I never even tried them.

Of the ones you listed I've had good experience with and still occasionally use the Vision clearo 2.0. I've also started rebuilding the atty heads myself so it costs me about ten cents to replace an atty head and I can make it whatever resistance I want.
I'd also recommend the Vivi Nova's, they've been great tanks and just as easy to rebuild as the Vision clearos.
Just offering my opinions from personal use.

That's the MINI Vision Vivi Nova Tank System ?
Metal tube or plastic tube? Metal sounds more reliable...Unfortunately the store you linked only has a couple colors of the Vision spinners left - trying to find another source.

Edit: I think i'm going to try the Kanger Protank!
Order placed for 2x1300mAh batteries and 2xProtanks.

Actually, you can still get the Go-Go...and in variable voltage, too! Plus the new tanks for them. That same guy sells them and now has a thriving business called Discount Vapers. He has tons of stuff, including some of the other stuff you are looking at now. This link is to his Go-Go equip...incl the VV..
