I started vaping about 2 months ago, starting with a Smoke51 Trio kit then moving on to V2 after some light research (due to the fact that I no longer wanted to be paying 15-20 dollars for 5 carts). I ran out of carts for my V2 recently so I purchased an njoy disposable yesterday (worst decision ever; it didn't even last me a whole day!) and today, a Blu disposable (which I'm less skeptical of because of its size compared to the NJOY I bought yesterday).

However, I'm contemplating whether to purchase V2's LiquiMax blanks, try Blu via a starter kit, or find something else new. At first, I was comparing Blu and V2 because of my most recent purchase, but there's a lot out there that seems like possible choices as well (brands which I didn't know about until I stumbled upon this site earlier today). I want to try using e-liquids because I haven't tried and it seems like a better alternative, though I'm not sure where to start.

Any information regarding obscure brands (unlike Blu and NJOY which are as the are found in most convenient stores in my area in Boston) which are popular (ironic...) or more cost-efficient than my current V2 would be great.

Richmond, Va...Right in Altria's back yard.
Ditch the carts and buy a Kanger Protank......prefilled carts cost an arm and a leg over buying juice and refilling yourself.

I believe the V2 has an 808 connection but you can buy an 808 to 510 adapter from Madvapes.com for 3 or 4 dollars. This will allow you to use the Protank with the batteries you have. You should also be able to to get the Protank from their site as well.

The Protank holds 6ml of liquid and is a breeze to refill. All of them have clear instructions included that are easy to follow for a beginner or experienced user alike.

Dunno if your stuck on the cig-alike form factor but the Protank will be a bit big on your current battery...just wanted to warn you in case that was an issue for you.

If you arent stuck on having it look like a cigarette Id also recommend an Ego Twist....its a 510 connection so you'll find more accessories to fit it and it will also have adjustable and regulated voltage as well as longer battery life.

Hope that helps.

If you already own a V2 kit, I suggest you get your cartos from elsewhere. V2 has a kr808D-1 connection, so any kr808D-1 cartomizer will work on your batteries. I suggest places like SmokelessImage, Vapor4Life or Halo--if you want prefilled cartos. You can also get ejuice there to refill your cartomizers, or you can get blank cartos.

If you're ready for a slightly bigger--and much longer lasting battery--this kit can't be beat.

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm

You'll get two variable voltage batteries, good clearomizers (I recommend getting at least one Spinner, one T3, one eVod and a few extra coils units (sold separately).

Kanger ProTank is big and heavy and has a 510 connection, but it will fit on an eGo batterey--even though it has a bigger diameter and will look a bit top heavy. It's made out of glass and its capacity is ~2.5ml, so it holds less liquid than the 3 ml T3.

Good luck!

the v2 is a 808 connection. I started out using the liquidmax from v2 and they were great. I think other things are better but I am still using my little cigalike when I go to restaurants. They were kind of pricey. I ended up getting these KR808D-1 blank clearomizers - package of 5 . I bought 2 pack (although 1 did not work) I liked them. Hope this help ya. Hope I made sense, sorry if I didn't. I think I need to go to bed. Good luck. And welcome to the forum. Great place.

Thanks for the replies! I love the community here! :toast:

@zapped/@Snake973: The Kanger Protank looks good! After looking at a review video for it, it is very simple for beginner and experienced users alike as said. I'm considering to get one now with the Ego Twist as recommended. I have no preference of the looks, but it'd just be nice to have my V2 on the side as backup, thus...

@fatttymagoo: I'm gonna purchase the V2 LiquiMax blanks as well as the blanks @Rat2chat2 posted about to see which one I prefer/is better. Looking at the reviews from both, I feel it may be needed.

@Katya: Vapor4Life has a huge selection! I love it, I've been looking for new flavours as I've purchased the sampler from V2 and wasn't too thrilled with most of them. I'm sure I won't go for the prefilled carts but I'll recommend them to my friends who prefer simplicity over ejuice. That deal definitely looks like a win though! Is there much difference between the battery selection when moving up the battery size? Looks similar/the same size from the pictures, but I'm sure the bigger the battery, the bigger the size.

The larger the capacity (mAh) of a battery, the longer it will last (roughly 1 hr per 100 mAh or so). I haven't used V4L products in a long time, but they have their own subforum here so I suggest you pay them a visit and talk to the actual users. They are very knowledgeable and helpful and will be able to answer your questions. You'll have to have 5 posts to be able to post there.

A lot of good info above but my :2c: would be.... if you plan on going with an ego type variable voltage device then have a look at the one at apollo ecigs it has a digital display and buttons that let you change your voltage in .1v increments. They also have it in a 1200 mah battery which they say will last 12hrs. I personally purchased the 1200mah ego vv from apollo and I loved it and still do I just let my fiancée have it and I have a mod. They also have great flavors of juice. And with just a little searching on google you can sometimes find coupon codes for up to 25% off their site. I was very happy with apollo they have a great site for beginners to get a good foot in the door

What ProTank you got that holds 6ml lol. I thought it held 3ml and people stated it only held 2.5ml LOL

But Yes Get a protank or something similar. If you stick with vaping you will quickly want out of the "Cig-a-likes" trust me. I had my Blu for 2 weeks (I stil use them for emergencies but wouldnt/couldnt see myself using them all day anymore). By time you get a Good Blu kit you could have had a nice Starter kit with some great batteries and better delivery devices like the pro-tank, EVOD etc....

I think I can physically get 3ml into a Protank, but the daggone think won't wick for nothing until it gets to 2.5ml's...a 6ml Protank would be nirvana
