Dont let blu turn you off of vaping. They are not even close to what the vaping experience should be. I dont know how to post links on here but there are a good many options for a reasonable price that are ALOT better. Egos, vision spinners, mvps just to name a few. A local shop would be the quickest fix. Most carry starter kits and the three I mentioned can be bought for around fifty bucks or less and include everything you need. To answer your original question, no all ecigs do not taste like what you have described. Even the blu shouldn't taste like that if working properly but I've tried them and they turned out to be a waste of money.

I used to use Blu for a while, still craved analogs like crazy with it, ex-PAD smoker. Their flavors were always very muted to me. The downside with Blu though is their quality control blows chunks. Had batteries failing on me every other week or worse yet getting old/dried out cartomizers (Not necessarily Blu's fault, depends on where retailer keeps their stock when not on shelf) However the cost of maintaining Blu's I found to be much higher than when I switched to a battery and tank (Although I'm spending alot on new gear at the moment lol)

Depending on your how much you smoke a bottle of juice could last you longer than a pack of Blu cartos adding up to a savings, not to mention having to buy batteries every few weeks.

I started with the blu to quit smoking and Im glad I did , It introduced me to vaping. Yes it was a waste of money but everyone has to start somewhere.

Well said.

I make no bones about my disliking of Blu and others like them. I started on something even worse.... and even more expensive.

Anything which gets people into vaping is good. :)

I found and stopped in at a local "vape" shop (steelcityvapors) - super helpful and friendly, let me try a bunch of different flavors right there in the store, got hooked up with two eGo batteries, three tanks, and three flavors (red tobacco, vanilla caramel tobacco, and melted chocolate.) I can now answer my own question - no, all e-cigarettes/vaporizers do not smell/taste like haunted houses/fog machines :)

Glad you got a good setup. There's a thread on here about the problems people have with brick and mortar shops... But this is exactly why a good vape store is such a good thing: advice for people who don't know where to start.

Good luck and welcome!
