Good to hear from you! Welcome to ECF, and thank you very much for your service, and that Axiom is good people so I know his bro must be too. :thumb:

I agree with everything you said about all that other snake oil; it JUST DOESN'T WORK, PERIOD! E-cigs do. I smoked for 39 yrs myself, tried to quit 4 times, and never succeeded -- till the 5th time, with e-cigs (and the 6th time too, but that's a whole nuther story). Recently celebrated a year smoke-free, and that's as close to a true miracle as I've ever seen.

Welcome!
Andria
Andria, I certainly appreciate the kind welcome. I certainly am glad that your e-cigs are working for you. I tried a couple of those store bought "Blu" brand things, but did not like them at all. Once again, your welcome is most appreciated :)

You can just keep piling on the comments as much as you like :w00t:.... That is awful kind words though Susan and I thank you very much. You are too sweet for sure.
Well Susan, I could say something really smart a***d here, but I shall refrain because I am a gentleman. Axiom there, on the other hand, well lets just say he's a pretty good little brother :)

yeah those blu's and other cigg-a-like contraptions were really never designed to work. Just another toy of Big tobacco to suck more cash out of your wallet.

Hello and welcome to the forums!!!! I too would also like to say "Thank you for your Service!!!" <SALUTE> It has been a bad time for these so called stinkies. I had been smoking for 28 years before taking my second journey down the path of no smokes. Thanks to this 2nd generation of vaporizers, it actually help out a lot better than the cig-a-likes did in my case. I am glad you decided to fight the war against those, yes, FDA approved death sticks. One day at a time. As you move forward, you may at times smoke an occasional one but here you will not be hassled, harassed, or humiliated for it. It's not the ones you smoke that counts, it is the ones you don't. I have set up my father, who also served in the Army, with 2 batteries and a tank. He is a 57 year @ 2+ packs per day and now only has on average 1-2 smokes a day. That is a big step especially when he is one that does NOT plan to quit smoking. I would rather see him vaping this as well as he enjoys vaping unflavored ejuice more than smoking now. If you any questions, do not hesitate to ask as many great, friendly people here are willing to help out when ever possible. Happy Vaping!!! :vapor:
Well I certainly appreciate this well written welcome!! Most kind of you. I would lie if I stated that I like addiction stories, but I can certainly understand your situation. Naw.....when I quit, I quit. Doing the cold turkey dance and just vaping. Thanks once again for your kind words > :)

Wow! I also thank you for serving.
I'm a former smoker, started in my teens, am about to go on Medicare, and I was able to quit within four days, thanks to a great neighbor who showed me what these little magic wands can do. I never, ever though I would be able to stop. Age and heredity (and a new husband who really detested it) made it important for me.
    Keep up the great work!
I like your story PennyLynn. You are to be congratulated..!! Thanks for the welcome as well :)

Thank-you for your heartfelt words. I have shivers.
I'd simply like to welcome you to the forum. As you already know there are many fine folks here, ready , willing and able to assist you - although it sounds as though your brother has stepped up to the plate.

I too am a former cigarette smoker - hmm, I'm still hesitant to say that after 3 weeks cig free but hey, 3 weeks is an enormous step in the right direction.

Congratulations on giving up the cigs...well done!! I take it one day at a time and try to focus more on enjoying my little rig than being too conscious of "not smoking". Everyone is different so whatever works, I say.

I'm Canadian but would like to thank you for your service. Us Canucks are kind of like step brothers and sisters to Americans. Perhaps not born into the same family but we grow to need and respect one another.

    Cheers.
I was an internet broadcaster for many years. I have met many Canadians in my day. Not a problem one with this issue. Congratulations on being cigarette free. A really nasty dirty habit. Thanks so very much for your words of kindness. They mean a lot to me :)

@AXIOM_1 is a trouble maker, but then you probably already knew that.

    Just kidding.

Great he helped you kick the habit, best of luck sticking with it.
Yes that brother of mine (Axiom) had to approach me with a great deal of cunning. I am not trying to be funny here in the least. If you want some real truth, he wrote me over FIFTY email letters talking me into giving vaping a try. He explained "the basics" to me in great detail. WHY? Because he knew I would go tell him to "fly kites" if he did not make sense to me. He also helped me with my choices in vaping gear which was an absolute savior for me. Some people here freaked out about the battery choice, but I can assure you, they were not wrong. I owe my brother a lot. THANKS BRO > :)

Anything to help you get away from the conspiracy sticks.

What are ya vaping on? Welcome to the forum! :)
Danny, I wrote a long winded thread on this subject, but the short of it is this. KangerTech Subox Mini. Kanger SubTank Plus. Kanger 0.5 OHM OCC coils. Efest 16850 batteries. At this present time I am using Space Jam Eclipse E-Liquid at 12 mg's of nicotine. Maybe not the ideal choice for a lot of people, but it sure works for me. I smoked my last cigarette 2 weeks ago and have NOT put another USDA certified lung spike in my system since. I thank you for your reply and welcome :)

Hello and welcome to the forum @Cognator. Glad to have you here!:)

    First, thank you for your years of service. Your results in dealings with the VA parallel those of many others I know. Sad.:{

Your brother, @AXIOM_1 is a valued member here. I see him daily welcoming new members and helping them with their questions.

In case you were not aware, there is a forum for the military: Armed Services Forum | E-Cigarette Forum

Hope you enjoy your stay here, keep posting, and sing out if there is anything we can help you with.:)

Oh! And BTY, I agree with your assessment on the ultimate fix for bad hard disk drives, Miss Widow Maker!:lol::lol:
Yes that brother of mine is a piece of work......kind of like his older brother. Just kidding. Yes, I am highly aware of the Military forum here but have not quite got that far yet. To make a long story short, I went through the V.A. system just about as hard as a man can. I could write a book, but shall refrain. I am quite surprised that you viewed a few of my YouTube videos. Some of them are not really all that great. I just do that stuff for fun. Miss Widow Maker is one really nasty piece of armament. I live in Grizzly Bear country and I stay armed at all times when making my trips into these mountains of Montana. I thank you so very much for the welcome and for the kind words :)

Congrats to you and thank you for your service. My husband was in the same war (Air Force) only spent most of his time in Turkey watching the Russians.. I imagine you know what he was doing. He also started smoking camels.. He now smokes the green cigarettes after trying many different types of tanks and etc. I purchased for him.. Glad to say he has finally quit the stinkies, but has cancer and is doing Chemo now and then radiation. Both are related to the cigs. Small cell cancer in one lung and lmphy node in the lung and bladder cancer. We are very hopeful that his life will lemghtened.
I am so glad you are finally off the cigs.. The Va has been great for us, but understand it has been bad for many. Sorry you were on of their cases.
I am very sorry that I am late with this post back to you. I am a true Newbie. Just for the heck of it, allow me to state my position with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. 1st Signal Battalion, 160th Signal Company or Group at Phu Lam, MACV Command, Military Central Intelligence, Specialist 4th Class. JOB: Classified. I am so sorry to read about your husband's lung condition. Also, thanks so very much for your kind welcome :)

Well I did my very best to reply to ALL PEOPLE that made comments to me between yesterday and today. If I have missed you, it was purely non-intentional and I extend an apology. I certainly hope that my first two days on this forum were good ones for all those that read my comments. My intentions here are purely honorable, you can be rest assured about this fact. I wish to extend a hearty THANK YOU to my brother, Axiom_1, who helped me get into vaping and taught me many things. He also introduced me to these forums. He was also a key factor in helping select vaping supplies and gear which HE KNEW would help me kick conspiracy death sticks. Under his supervision, I have not smoked one single cigarette in two weeks. i realize this is not a long time, but it is good enough for me. My nasal passages now work for a change. Sometimes, when I make these posts, I have no idea if I am placing this text in the proper place or not. This matters not to me because I know that somebody will read this and correct me. Once again, I thank each and every one of you :)

I agree, I tried, Fin, Njoy, and Blu, and thought they all sucked, so I got mad enough to come here and find something I'd actually like -- got an eRoll, and that worked since I could put my own choice of flavors in it, but I soon recognized the drawbacks of such a small form-factor (refilling and charging *constantly*), so I moved up to a pen-style, then the larger tube mods, and now prefer the small box mods -- iStick30 and *especially* the Coolfire4. They feel better in the hand, and they don't fall over so easily when standing.

Right on Andria.... I never tried the coolfire but it sounds like that combo of yours is excellent for your style of vaping.

I'm thrilled with it -- and last Wed it passed the "4 ft drop onto concrete" test with flying colors! :D Got a custom etched one from Phiniac on the way... I'm so excited! :D
