The new project subohm short freakshow looks almost to good to pass up. Think I might grab that one... I also like the way the Kenedy looks. Seems like it is slightly similar to the freakshow when it comes to air flow. The new Kenedy centered looks like win win. It's not a cheap authentic though, it's gonna set you back some major cash. So I'll grab the project subohm freakshow for now.

I just looked at that Kennedy. Its more the design of the Lancia the way the airflow works, but with a better top cap.

Why are we talking about the Kennedy in the "affordable" authentic thread. I did notice that that airflow design looks like it really minimizes leaking out of the airflow holes.

So I have a Freakshow but I want another cheap authentic. I was looking at the mutation x v3 but I want the project ohm version, which is sold out, because I hate the indulgence logo on the original.

Anyway which of these aforementioned rdas has the least leaking issues and slightly favors flavor over vapor?

Right behind you...
The Steam Crave Arommamizer looks interesting, and goes for around $30. I kinda dig it, but I mostly use box mods and don't care about a little overhang (it's 25mm at the points of the hex).

I like the hex shape. But the center post hole looks smaller than the negative posts? why would they do that? Doesn't help for dual coils. There is no good way to line coils up directly with the airflow. And I'm not sure I like the drip tip with the splash guard there... reminds me of the drip tip that came with the 454, which I tried once and quickly changed.

Interesting little RDA but I agree with ^^^. I think the hex shape is sharp looking, but the splash-guard tip is not my favorite. Same critique from the 454.

Also, our avi's are conflicting.

There's no need to line up air holes, since it's a 360 degree swirl flow that looks like it should hit the sides of the coils pretty well.

Splash guard is kinda neat, but it's a standard 510 drip tip hole so you can use your own if you prefer. At least it comes with a drip tip.

I suspect somebody was looking at a replaceable coil head air intake/positive post and thought "hmm, this could work for a tip too".

Post design is not great, but you can bet your bottom dollar a V2 will be out in short order with a better setup. It's China.

Hands down, my favorite affordable RDA is the mutation X V3... I love the airflow, I've been thinking of picking up a Doge. Anybody have opinions on that?

The mutation x v3 is on my debate list of next rda along with infinite clt v3, Derringer clone, and hobo clone. Still haven't decided...

granted, this is just one mans opinion, but I say....... GET THE V3! Lol. I have tried a bunch of different RDA's in my day, and like I said the mutation X V3 (I own two of them and am gonna be getting another (all built at different resistances))

I have never tried any of the other ones you're debating though but I am absolutely in love with my mutation X's

Well it's probably not a fair recommendation considering I didn't mention everything I'm looking for (and that your name has "cloudchaser" in it)

My priorities in order (somewhat) are:
1) flavor
2) clouds
3) minimized chance of leaking
4) juice well depth
5) build deck versatility(single/dual option, split center post but not a deal breaker)
6) size (height)
7) price ($35 max)

And this is why I feel like the hobo 2.1 or whatever the newest version clone is my best option

Lol! I completely understand. Honestly though the thing I like most about the mutation is I can roll out some huge clouds but when I'm in need of flavor I just close half of the air holes and it's like I have a whole new RDA on my box mod... I have heard many good things about the hobo though, it's making me really wanna see what all the hoopla is about and try one out.

Happy vaping!

I'm loving my troll recently. I had initially thought this was just a mutation x with different aesthetic, but it is better. The tolerances for the different pieces are perfect. I am using it with the wide-bore wotofo cap. fantastic!

Tolerances for different pieces?

Yeah the hobo is tiny and the juice well is deep as ....e and the air holes are way above the coils but still seem to produce great vapor. I just hope I get a decent clone :/

I've only bought one clone RDA before and it was a hunk of junk... Since then I vowed to only buy authentics... Yet another reason I love the mutation X's so much is the authentics are only $35

Yeah I know. And I know this is the affordable authentic thread. I love affordable authentic btw! My first and only rda is an authentic Freakshow and I love it!

I'm still planning on getting either the new mutation x or clt but vape budget may only allow me to get a cheaper clone first :/...

So may I ask one more question : which clone rda did you get and who was the manufacturer?

It was the dark horse RDA by Tobeco... my friend had an authentic but it was too pricey for me so I went with the clone... The posts were shotty and it hit NOTHING like his authentic (we even built the EXACT same builds on them)

Well from what I've heard Tobeco isn't the best of the clones makers
