Hi from sunny glasgow ;)

I borrowed an old 510 manual from a friend two weeks ago and have been vaping ever since (bye bye analogues). Currently waiting on a delivery from tw of my own 510 manual kit (two weeks now) and have just placed another order with them for a pink compact kit for my daughter as i have persuaded her to join me on the light side :).

At the moment i seem to be doing really well with just two batteries, they are only 180 mah but have never had to sit and stare at the charger anxiously yet. Though to be on the safe side i have also ordered a couple of 510 manual mega batteries from tw (i think they are 280 mah). I loathe the filler in the cartridges though so have ordered some ec2 xl clearomisers from vapescape and some ec3 xl smokemisers from tw, how well do these perform in comparison to the standard 510 atty?

I am currently using 24mg Flue Cured from vapescape and have ordered some ry4, a selection of Grizwalds (including blackcat, 666 and hypnotique) and managed to get 5* 20ml tw titan liquids at a yoyo of 78% (so only a tenner, woot). Are there any other juices that anyone recommends?

thanks

Congratulations & Welcome to ECF! Do you know the resistance (Ohm) rating of the -misers you ordered? They need to be of high enough resistance to be compatible with your cig-sized (slim) batteries. Something you might want to try it the Boge 3.0 Ohm cartomizers. They'll work well on your batteries and IMO are far superior to the 3-pc. setup with separate atty & cart. They also hold up very well if you keep them damp (keep the juice topped off well).

Best of luck & Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Hi :)

Yep the 3pc setup is driving me nuts, not because of the filling but never knowing when you are going to get that awful burnt taste. I think the ce2 xl and the ce3 xl's are 2.6 ohm. The 510 batteries have a standard working voltage of around 3.3 - 4.2 volts and I'm not sure what the current atomiser is, it is the standard 510 titan/tornado one from totally wicked.

would 3.0 ohm increase battery life or would there not be too much difference? I'm not too fussed by throat hit but i want to conserve as much flavour as possible.

any advice /info gratefully received :)

Yes, I think 3.0 Ohms is about optimum for battery life - both between charges, and useful life of the battery - for cig-sized batteries. I *think* you'll be okay going as low as 2.6 Ohms but I've never used the CE2s or 3s (except for a defective CE3, which I don't count since it was a factory defect). One of the great things about larger batteries (over 450mAh) is their ability to run low resistance cartos & attys. You can't get away with that on the slim batts because it drains them too fast and can destroy them. You can get more flavor & TH with lower resistance, but IIRC the lowest you're supposed to go on those batts is around 2.50 Ohms.

Good luck! :toast:

Hello & welcome Geogeekgirl :)

Lol, is it really sunny in Glasgow ;) cos it certainly isn't down here in Cornwall at the moment.

As you have already bought from Vape Escape (one of my favourite UK suppliers) check out their Riva 1100 kits. You will get so much better battery life from an 1100mAh battery & as they have a 510 thread, you will be able to use the atties/cartos you already have. Use discount code ECF10 for 10% off.

lol hi chrissie,

nah it is rarely sunny in glasgow, thank god for old red sandstone buildings otherwise the place would be dreary as hell ;)

I thought about the riva and the ego-t, but atm i feel that size and weight of the 510 standard/mega suits me really well especially when i am out and about at uni plus the battery life seems ok, currently getting about 5hrs use out of the 180 mah so i am guestimating that i should be able to get about 7 to 8 hours use out of the 280 mah. i just can't get over the holding it like an analogue thing. Although from what i have read i will probably end up going for larger capacity at a later date ;)

Hello and welcome, also Congrats on getting your daughter to join you.My wife and myself are doing it together. It seems easier with a buddy.:)

yeah it's good to have someone to talk about it with but i also love gadgets so i am in my element atm :) I am really hoping my daughter is successful as she is diabetic with some circulation problems already so analogues definitely do not do her any favours.

Sounds like you must be quite a light vaper to be getting 5 hours out of a 180mAh battery & if so, then you should be fine with a 280mAh one :)

I used to smoke 40 a day so i am using 24mg flue cured juice. I find that i usually go for 5 or 6 inhales (probably only 1 or 2 second inhale though) at time probably every hour or so during the day so only swap batteries once, then in the evening i probaboy swap batteries 2 or 3 times.

How is a heavy vapour classified? Do they use a lower mg juice, or just have a high nicotine tolerance?
