Yes I know I should buy flavours made specifically for vaping. And I know I need to buy a nicotine vg pg and flavour. My question is if I should buy just a flavour without nicotine or if there are some special flavours completely without pg vg and nicotine. Thanks

Knowing what country you are in would allow for the most helpful answers.

AFAIK there are no flavorings that have nic. MOST come mixed in PG, some in VG, some with a little alcohol (that most of us let evaporate out after mixing.)

Do NOT use any flavorings that have ANY oil.

Otherwise, it's just mix your PG, VG and nic in the per cents you want with the per cent of flavors you want. Many mixes need a steeping period for the flavors to fully blend, some are "shake and vape" (SNV). Recipe calculators make it easy :)

Hi guys

I would like to know something about flavours.
I want to start DIY mixing and I'm not sure what kind of flavour I should buy?
Are there some special flavours for mixing or should I buy just any flavour without nicotine?

Thanks

I would start with some one shot flavorings, these are already mixed recipes that you just have to add to your pre mixed base at various percentages.

If you like cinnamon roll, OSDIY has a baked cinnamon roll you can use anywhere from 5% to 8% of your mix that is very nice.

One Stop Flavors - Baked Cinnamon Roll - 30mL

this is the easiest way to start, and gets you vaping something you'll enjoy while you begin trying out various recipes - some you'll enjoy and some you'll hate.

The only real problem you'll run into is some older recipes are created for older gear that needed more flavoring added than newer recipes. Today, most recipes vape fine at percentages between 6-12%.. so make sure your recipe was created for modern gear, if it wasn't, you can usually drop the overall percentages and it will be fine.

But it's specific recipe ingredients your looking for, so start looking up e-liquid recipes you think sound good, then buy the flavorings those recipes call for (just like if you decided to make meatloaf, you'd look for recipes, its the same with ejuice) That way your not buying flavorings you may never use.

In time, you'll learn to develop your own recipes, but beginning at the beginning is best, and work your way up.

Flavors that you buy to make your own juice are just flavors. No nicotine in DIY flavors. That's the way it is in the USA anyhow. Below is a list of popular flavor vendors in the USA so you can familiarize yourself with flavors. Most flavors are based in PG but there are some VG-based flavors. Regardless, there is no nicotine in DIY flavors. Which ones you buy are up to you, whatever you like, and if you are following recipes you found then obviously you would have to buy the flavors that are needed for those recipes.

Bull City Flavors

Flavor Jungle

Gremberry Farms

Liquid Barn

Nicotine Giant

One Stop DIY Shop

As was stated already, you never want to buy flavors in a grocery store unless you know for sure they are safe for vaping. Most flavors for cooking/backing that you find in the stores are oil-based and those are best to be deemed as not safe until you can undeniable prove otherwise.

There is more to mixing then just flavor choice. Read my blogs found here dannyv45's blog | E-Cigarette Forum This will give you a good head start.
