As I understand it, the problem with doing 6V vaping is that we're having to use 2 batteries which can discharge unevenly. So why doesn't someone (hint hint) make a 6V battery so we only have to use one?

I'm perfectly happy with how the Super-Six vapes with the 3.7 battery, and didn't even try doing 6V for a couple weeks. But as someone said, after he did 6V's he's never going back to 3.7V. vaping with 6V on the Six is just too tempting not to do.

We've now seen what a big step above all other Mods David is capable of making. Don't some of these manufacturers (Janty?) also make their own batteries? I'll admit I'm speaking out of ignorance of batteries in general, but would it really be too hard to make a One 6V battery that's safe for vaping?

I'd think making this battery would be as advantageous to it's maker as making the best PV device. Everyone would buy them. Is it even do-able?

Janty doesn't make their own battery but they did contract one of the battery suppliers to make them a special one for the eGo. At least that's the word we are getting from one of our own (vapers) who has done direct battery business with the very same battery manufacturer.

My gut feeling is that the eGo battery technology will filter down to us eventually in the form of the mod batteries we now use, which are really designed for lasers and flashlights right now.

Hopefully, we will be able to obtain 5 volt batteries that fit right into the S6! I like the vapor, TH and warmth of 6v but the flavor tastes burnt, to me. Rumor has it that another Janty product is on the way that may run at 4.5 volts -- so the possibilities are becoming a reality.

I fly remote helicopters and even the larger 22.2V/5000mah batteries are made from 6 - 3.7v cells.
For some reason there's just no breaking the 4.2v (fully charged lipo) barrier.

That's interesting, Brock. I wasn't aware of this. I'm going to have to research this further because as cynical/curious as I am I find it hard to accept why this is so. Thinking outside the box here, I'm wondering if there is a way for LiIon/LIPO batteries to be backwards compatible -- as in less voltage -- like 1.5V and utilize 3 of them in series. Research is afoot...
