Thanks for that fascinating video, Phil!

Hooking up the scope to see the PWM duty cycles really gives a clear idea of what's happening and leads me to conclude that the EVO would probably give a stronger, hotter vape at the medium and high settings - something which your subjective view seemed to reinforce (when I got to that part of the video)

But, as always, YMMV. Still, looking at the graphs (and thinking some more about the PWM concept) makes me want to take a look at the EVO - if only they would fix those two mechanical issues you identified.

Additionally, from what you are saying, it would seem that the EVO has a wider tolerance for 3rd party cartos whereas the SVR seems 'tailored' for the carto they supply - a fair assumption?

Just watched your video of the svr evo comparison, thank u! Even this house wife understood it! :) now the next question, the evo or a different vv device, is there anything else at this price point that is vv that u would buy instead? I am lookin to get a new pv soon. Thanks!

Lavatube. Its still cheap and has way more options.

A very fair assumption both in the tuning of the voltage across the 3 settings AND the 510 connection.

At that price point, perhaps a Lavatube (or whatever the vendor of the day is calling it now). Although I have not used one myself. Look for a review on it from me soon.

I considered a lava, but I thought u could not run lower om cartos on it? I like LR dc 1.5, 1.8 range. Will it work? Will the evo work?
The LT will work with the LR atties and cartos. The current limiter will keep it from using too high of a voltage, but whatever it's allowing is fine for me, and many others I suspect. Although I'm looking forward to trying some higher resistancd DCCs when my local vendor gets them in.

You don't need to run lower ohms on a vari volt device. 1.5/1.8 ohms is great on a 3.7 device but to get the most out of a variable voltage use standard resistance. Since you can adjust the voltage to taste you don't need the lower resistance like you would on a 3.7 to get massive vapor, flavor, and throat hit.

I have low resistance attys and cartos for my reo and alpha and have all standard resistance cartos for my buzz.

Well, based on these reviews you did, I decided to go for it. It arrived today. I ordered the Evo from House of Vapor and all I can say is that, for me, its great. Fits right within the parameters of size and ease of use I was looking for. I have to say that at $89 dollars I may have felt a bit cheated, but at 59 I got it for, it is perfect.
Thanks for the reviews PBusardo! As always you helped me find exactly what I'm looking for!
