Yes, very hetero. And please stop talking about my nuts.

Well since you've previously put your "post" and your "wood" on the table (a sturdy one, I hope?), I thought that "nuts" would be at least somewhat on-topic. Sorry Phil, please don't report me, I think I'm already on "Double Secret Probation" in this place! lol

Hey Phil I just bought a vmax and I'm having an issue with it just resetting itself to 5v while vaping. I go to check battery and it shows 7.4v in it, I have it set the unit to 3.1v and vape a 2ohm bridgeless atty on it while watching the volts under load it doesn't drop below 6.9v. I'm taking a drag and all of a sudden the blue led flashes 3x and it resets itself to 5v as if I pulled the battery's out of it. How does your unit act when the volts get low? I know my voltage is good still cause that batts are still at 3.86 per cell according to my fluke meter so I think this unit is defective but just want to hear what you experience is with it when the power gets lower. Does yours just reset itself to 5v when it is only down to 7.4v with no load?? Thanks and love your reviews btw, very informative stuff!!

When mine got low, Lo started showing up on the screen but it didn't reset.

Are you sure you have good connection on you batteries? Try pulling/stretching the spring in the bottom cap a bit to make sure you have a good connection.

Oh, and THANKS!!

Thanks Phil, I took the batteries out last night and let it sit like that then I put them back in without charging his morning, vaped fine and got to see the lo come up on the screen so I'm wondering if its possible that since I was dripping into a bridgeless atty with a drip shield and 510 adapter that the accumulation of juice in the 510 connector was causing some kind of voodoo short or possibly a bad atty? IDK but at this time it is working fine and I am now cycling the second set of batts and a carto, I have with no issues as of yet but I have only managed to drain those down to 7.5v so far today, throat is getting sore now from this beast lol. Connection is good because I really have to push hard on the cap while screwing it on from the force of the springs, using imr 800mah batts. I did clean all the connections though just for piece of mind. Thanks for the thoughts man, Kurt.

Spend so much time watching your videos, never realized you were on the forums lol. Love everything you've done, money is tight for me at the moment but I do plan on one day (maybe) getting a VV device. I need to look around at the options, currently really enjoying 3.7 volts on a 1.5 DCC and want to try the 1.25's. Was wondering if it was worth shaking things up to check out VV, or just stick with what I like and save myself the money lol...also would keep my small collection from gathering dust I suppose.

Anyway, love your work, look forward to seeing your videos, and thanks.

First, thanks very much! Second, my personal opinion is... if you are happy, satisfied, and staying off of analog cigarettes... why spend the money?
