hi have a problem with my evic. even though it is fully charged when i press the button i get "sorry! please charge by usb port!" on the screen. when I plug it into the charger it says the battery is at 100. i can get to the menu while its plugged in, but when i try to fire it it says no atomizer found. but when I go to the atomizer settings it detects my atomizer. it will fire but it still says no atomizer found. so the puff counter doesnt show up. when i unplug the charger i can get to the menu, but when i press the button sometimes it says its charging even if its unplugged.

i have already tried to update the firmware and that didnt help.

what could i do?

Ok first try this:
Remove the battery
Hold the power button in for 30 seconds to discharge any residual power
Reinstall the battery
Power up
access menu
configure
temp
F*
Alarm
Set to 95 or higher
Exit

See if it now fires

The problem isn't that it won't fire. I tried that too but still get the same thing

Then it is internally defective. Return for replacement.

You are the 2nd one to post with a charging related issue. I wonder if there is another batch problem. I have 2 and neither exhibit this.

Well make this a third person to post about this issue.

Last night I had a fully charged battery in my eVic. I went to take a vape and it wouldn't fire at all. However the screen would start the timer for how long I pressed the button as if it was actually firing. Then when I would take my Viva Nova off and the display says it's now charging. I've tried several Nova's and it won't fire at all.

Then when you take the battery out and put it back in. Or, switch with a different battery. I get the "Sorry! Please Charge via the USB Port" message. I can't do anything with the eVic until I put a tank on it.

Bottomline, with a fully charged battery. This eVic will not fire at all.

Are there any news around this problem? I'm stuck with this "Sorry, please charge by USB port" message. Nothing happens when I try to connect it to the PC/MVR and I've also noticed that sometimes, the head heats up and fires without pushing the button...

Is there any way out of it? I cannot return it for replacement... :(

Sorry, I would not have even known it had a Sorry, charge by USE message if I hadn't read it here. Never seen it.
Not firing on a fully charged battery seems to be an over voltage issue. Possibly Firmware related and maybe fixable with an update. Will have to wait and see.
I have found cycling the fire button to full time out several times will drain the battery a bit and it will start firing again. Depending on the unit this can be anywhere from 90% to 99% charged, from post I have read.

mine has stopped firing when fully/100% charged now, too. what a PITA this thing has been. it's too bad cuz i like the weight of it. it seems once it gets below 90% it will fire MOST of the time ... but it's a hit 'n miss even then. i just can't count it to be there for me, so it stays home.

1.2 i will look at what the new version offers. thanks.

Shot in the dark but can you see if the settings are reflecting the correct size battery you have on it?

yeh, it's got the original batt in it and is set to 2600mah.

Discovered one thing.
On my Recall unit - If it decides not to fire on a fully charged battery. If I am using a low ohm atomizer - usually 1.8 or so by
switching to a 2.5ohm it starts firing fine.

hmmm, i am using a 1.8ohm atty. i may check into that if the upgrade does not fix it.
