Hello Provari users!

New member here and soon to be new Provari owner. I've decided to wait for the black v2 with blue LED, March 15th right? This will be my first purchase in the world of mods. I started with a cheap pen style 510 kit and quickly moved to the eGo-T. I thought for sure this would be my final purchase, it did everything I wanted. HOWEVER, I began to hear about VV and started digging a little deeper. Sounds like the VV mods are really starting to take off. I think there is room for improvement with my current setup so I've decided to upgrade. I'm going with the "go big or go home" approach, making the ProVari my first purchase. I've heard quite a few people say they wish they would have just started with this PV in the first place.

Anyways, more to the reason of this post. I'm relatively inexperienced with anything outside the Boge LR cartomizer. It's the only additional equipment I've used outside the tanks that come with the eGo-T. I'm the type of guy who doesn't particularly like to constantly have to drip. I like to fill every once in a while, kick back my feet, and enjoy my vape. I suppose you could say atomizers aren't for me unless I'm sampling flavors. Is there any recognized standard attachment (sorry, I don't know the proper lingo yet) for the ProVari that everybody loves? A “staple” or “essential”??? I am very interested in a tank system however get lost in all the lingo. MAP Tank... CE2.. etc?? I've hunted and hunted and can't find out what half these acronyms or nicknames mean. SO confusing!! Anyways, I like the idea of a tank system because it looks like it will prevent my carto (you put cartos in tanks, right?) from ever drying up as long as there is juice in the tank. I LOVE this idea for my all day vape. If anybody could show me/tell me about a great setup for this it would be much appreciated. I'm quite the juice sampler and like to rotate my flavors. So in addition to a tank I would like something relatively cheap to vape my other flavors I enjoy. Would sticking to the Boge LR carto be best for this? I've never tried anything in dual coal or regular resistance. I've also heard a little bit about Stardust cartos but still don't quite understand these.

Pardon my grammar and lack of coherence. I'm all over the place when I get confused as you can probably tell. I guess long story short, I'm asking the Provari community if you have any recommendations for equipment to go with my PV. Something solid for my favorite all day vape and something a bit cheaper for my other flavors.

Thanks everybody! Looking forward to being a part of this great community.

Getting my first provari today! :) so I haven't used one yet. I have been vaping for about 8 months now and I do not like atty's. Having to drip every time for a puff sucks. Tanks are a good all day vape. When you are dealing with poly fill cartos with the pre punched holes they are just like your boge LR stuff and you can get them in anything from 1.5 to 3 ohm or maybe higher. Dual coil, single coil or even triple coil. Whatever tastes the best to you will ultimately be what you choose because everybodys taste buds are different. And with the provari we will be able to fiddle around a d probably get anything to our liking. With poly fill though they will get funky tasting after about 10ml. Some clean them some toss em. I toss them because I run a pretty clear liquid and after it starts to taste funky the juice at the bottom starts to turn brown and that means the poly fill is getting charred a little and mixing with your juice and I don't think that stuff can b too good for you.
ce2's are an empty cartomizer with wiks hanging down to feed the coil which is on top and provides the cleanest vape IMO next to vaping, BUT they require a lot of maintenance too. I always have to pull the inner seal and cut the wicking slots bigger. And you have to fill with a needle for most of them. You have to turn them upside down when your juice level gets down so the wiks stay wet at the coil. And they can leak easily. But they can last up to two weeks for me if I take care of them and I go through about 4-5 ml a day. I have never had a ce2 tank though. Always intrigued by the idea but scared to get one in fear that it would be the same problems but on a bigger scale.
Hope this helps. Good luck to ya :)

Thanks vikeme, very helpful stuff! I've been using the same carto for a LONG time. In fact, I've noticed a little brown residue at the top where I fill it. My guess is that it's a little burnt and probably no good anymore. Learning new things everyday! Will a tank prevent this from happening since it will constantly be wet?

You are making a great choice with the Provari. I just got my 2nd one a few weeks back. I use a cartotank with a 2.0 smoketech prepunched cartos. I am a heavy vaper and just fill up my tank every 12 hours or so. Its been such an easy system to get used to. I get my tank and cartos at Hoosier E Cig Supply

I would probably change it out or at least try and clean it. There are lots of ways to do that and the best and most informative place would be you tube. I don't think a tank will prevent it but it might prolong it. Glad I could help

I use a Provari with tanks. The tanks are Liquinators and mini-subs that I use 3 ohm cartomizors with for my all-day juices.
I also still carry my Ego batts with me, with a LR carto for my "Desert" flavors.
Works well for me.

I'm also planning on keeping my ego batts for when I'm at work or out and about.

From all the posts ive read so far it seems like tanks are popular. I think I better give it a try... Now I just need to decide what one buy...

I try and use what really works for me and it just happens to be a Madvapes 5ml tank that I cut 3/8" off of to accommodate my Boge 3.0 ohm cartos. I use a Dremel to cut two good slots (my juices are all 50/50) and I just got 50 of these Boges for $38.30 at VaporKing. This may be a cheap setup, but it works perfectly for me.

I like the idea of cutting off the 3/8" to get a tank made for duel carto's to fit a regular boge 3.0

It's quite easy actually. I took the tank apart but left the bottom (either one will be fine) end cap on to help it keep its shape while I do this. I then took out a socket set to see which socket fit inside the plastic tank with the least amount of play and I think it was around a 7/16 or so. I then used a regular pipe cutter, like plumbers use to cut 1/2"/3/4"/1" pipe with and slowly made the cut until it popped off clean. A little sanding to get the cut smooth and it works perfectly.
