A question about flavours

Hi,

I've been smoking e-cigs for a couple of weeks now and one of the many advantages I've found is that I can discretely have a few puffs at work without having to go outside for a smoke. The smoke from the standard cartridges I bought with the e-cig (tobacco flavour) don't create much of a smell and they certainly don't smell of cigarette smoke.

My question is - Do the flavoured ejuices produce an odour?

So for example if I smoked "marlboro" or "french pipe" would it smell of cigarette or pipe smoke? Ideally I'd like flavours that have a smoky taste but don't smell of smoke, or am I asking too much? Alternatively are there any other flavours, not necessarily tobacco flavours, that don't produce much of a smell? I was thinking perhaps "coffee" as if it did have an odour, people would think it was just coffee.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

For the most part, there is very little scent to any of the liquids that I have tried, and what scent there is dissipates very quickly.

On the other hand, there is really nothing saying you couldn't openly smoke them at work either, unless they made up their own rules against it. But if you do vape openly there, be prepared for a lot of demonstrations and questions, lol.

Most of the juices I've used don't have much of an odor, or if they do it's a nice smell, nothing noxious like tobacco smoke. I know Tasty Vapors' Atomic Cinnacide smells quite a bit, but it smells like cinnamon candy. I think most of the liquids have a slightly sweet smell, but it's hardly noticeable.

I also know that before quitting smoking I'd have never smelled any of it!

I agree with mage, and just to make sure it's ok, just clear it with HR. Thats how I do it...i just have to be in the breakroom, and yes you will be bombarded with questions and in some cases dirty looks.:)

I've tried about 12 juices so far, 2 have a smell that someone nearby may inquire about, they are both tobacco flavored and though the smell is light, they can definately smell it.
I think MOST juices though will have hardly any smell.... its hit and miss and of course, all juices are different.

FWIW the Cuban Tobacco/Cohiba/Flue cured juices seem to be the ones with the most "smell" that I've tried.
