I just got my first rba on Monday, an AGA-T2, and I saw many people on some FB groups raving about ribbon wire. Since I have yet to build a good working coil I decided to order some because everyone says it is easier to use. I followed the links everyone was posting to ebay and bought 20'. So today I get a message from the seller that due to unexpected demand he ran out of the 0.5 x 0.1mm wire and wants to know if I want 0.4 x 0.1mm wire instead or he will just refund me my money. I think it will work the same, but at a different resistance, but I wanted to get the opinions of people with more experience in this area than I have. So what do you think, will I be good to go with the smaller wire or should I just get my money back?

I think it would be fine. I'm going to try it.
