I am looking at (possibly) my next upgrade and have heard awesome things about the REO. I currently have a Provari using the 18490 batt. I see that the reo mini2 uses the same. So, in going ahead with a reo mini2, I assume that all I would need is the atomizer. I have also seen that the rm2 rba is recommended and it looks fairly easy to rebuild and would last a long time.

I also see that the reo is 510. Not that you would want to but does this mean that I can also throw any 510 carto tank or 510 clearomizer on this?

Whats the general consensus on this? REO Mini2, rm2 rba, currently have batts and juice.......would I be good to go?

Thanks everyone for your thoughts, suggestions and ideas. Love this forum. Happy vaping!

Gotcha. I wasn't think of how the reo worked so yes, carto tanks and clearotanks are pointless. So In regards to my original Q. If I got the reo mini 2.1, and a RM2, using my current batts.......I'm pretty much good to go?
Yes you would be good to go . Grab some 30 gauge wire and some wick

The Mini 2.1 hosts a 3 ml bottle, probably as big as your carto or RBA tanks, while the Grand uses a 6 ml. Sure would be nice if we could get an insulated 15 mm spacer for the Grand to use 18490/18500 batteries (and 18350 with two) in it. ;)

Here's my REO shopping list:

Metal REO of your choice
Two spare hot springs for metal REOs
(optional rebuild kit--usually not needed for years)

Reomizer 2.0 (RM2) Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer (RDA) (or two, lol)
Two spare post screws for RM2 (tiny--easy to lose, hard to find)
Two spare o-rings for RM2 (they tend to stick to RM2, then drop on the floor when it's off)

Spare bottles of appropriate size for favorite juices.

Hope this helps.

edit to add: consider getting Rob's 3 foot samples of both 28 and 30 AWG Kanthal, as well as silica. Scour the house for cotton... rolled, balls, even Q-tips--awesome wick.

Welcome. I have all sizes and kinds of REOs. My most used are my Mini 2.x. They offer small size yet have a decent sized battery. Interestingly, though, the Grand is much smaller than most peeps expect it to be. Mini 2.x has a 3ml bottle while Grand has 6ml.

RM2 is the easiest to use and build of all the many RBAs I've had or have. And it gives the best vape of any I have. Depending on the color REO you select do consider the brass RM2. It is especially attractive on the Coppervien and looks great on my Orange. If you even like orange color some, I don't generally, the REO orange is beautiful. It practically glows.

For size comparison. The REO on right is the Mini 1.0. The 2.1 is same dimensions except it is thicker, front to back, similar to Grand to accommodate the 18490 battery. I don't think Robert, redeyedancer, REO is currently making the Mini 1.0. Also, I think he is only doing powder coated and no anodized as seen in picture. The picture is Silver Anodized.
