A Question about Throat Hit

I've been vaping for over a year now, and this has never really been clear to me. So I'm asking for myself, and any new person out there wondering the same thing. You hear a lot of talk about throat hit. Now is that the scratchy, harsh feeling I get from some juices, or is it (the only way I can describe it) that little Thump to the back of the throat? I'm not a big fan of the scratchy, but do like the little thump I get from some juices. Thanks for you help in clarifying this.

I think it's the thump.

When I first started vaping i thought the term was dirty lol.

Thump. Scratchy feeling comes from dehydratation that comes from PG. Or (as I suffer discovering these days) from some ingredient of some flavours.

It's the thump. A scratchy hit is the same as a dry hit IMO.

Thump. But I'm also into the "kick" that goes up to my head...not sure how to explain it..

Thank you for chiming in all. Glad to know its not that scratchy feeling (I hate that). I know when I buy some juice's they scratch my throat. Must be the PG/VG ratio.

It could be your throat doesn't like some types of flavoring too. As always, be sure to drink plenty of fluids; a good rule whether you vape or not.

That could be also. It does happen a lot on some fruit favors. Maybe the sweetener.....?

Its that "nice kick in the back of me froat". Higher nic, thinner juice(pg), higher voltage, all contributes.
