Hey there, BP. Yeah, I've been experimenting with PG vs. VG for the past four months after some mild sensitivity to PG. In fact, I'm sampling PG again this week after a few months away from it. I'm just curious about my reactions to each and how they may change over time. My primitive findings would take a multi-page post, so I'll just mention a couple of quick things today instead.
First, the juices are indeed different in many ways, and they affect me differently. While the PG flavs taste better, the VG actually replicates cig smoking much more for me. Those heavy clouds of vape are really satisfying in a way. And the VG has fewer negatives for me, especially concerning the outbreaks of zits that initially prompted my change to VG. The downside of VG for me, as you mention, is the oiliness that coats everything around it, including my throat. Again, kind of like cigs in a nasty way.
I should add something about timing. My sensitivity to PG kicked in heaviest at about three months, and my improvement with VG took several days to begin and then peaked at about two weeks. So whatever you try, my advice is to give it 1-2 weeks of full-time trial before you decide. In my case, at about two weeks I noticed that my skin was surprisingly clear again although I was having to clear my oily throat more often.
And last, you're right about the severe limits of VG juices and cartos at V4L. I can only offer that a couple of V4L's fearless leaders have privately assured me that a small selection of new VG products is on the way. Premium? Wow? USA-made? No idea, but I'm sure you'll be seeing something of these before long. If you happen to need some cartos to help with testing or hold you over, just let me know. I have a huge stash (all 18mg), including a great mix of freebies I received from a wonderful member of this forum.
Meanwhile, good luck to you, man. Keep me posted, would you? I'm really tracking everything I can find about PG vs. VG vaping and would definitely appreciate your input.
