I fully intend on eventually saving some money at this. If people will stop having sales and stuff.

See? Now there's a problem! Vendors who I like have these damned sales, so I whip out the credit card, make an order and then stalk the mail carrier. It's a vicious cycle, I tell you!

We have nothing to fear but temptation. Once in a while, I do find myself looking at sales pages, staring, reading, picturing the stuff in my expectant hands. Then, I take some more puffs and walk away from the screen...

I get a serious case of super glue on the .... when I see see sales. You couldn't pry me off the computer chair if you tried. I'm weak!! :( I have 3 shopping carts filled right now and don't really need a thing.

I have deer on the back deck and a peacock likes to get on my roof. Every fall, a flicker tries to move in to my attic by going through the vents. Yesterday, a squirrel was eating my welcome mat out front (he knocked the day before). I have to patrol once in a while or I won't have a house soon, good excuse to get up.

"Super glue on the ....!" Ouch! Well, shopping is a hobby and by itself no reflection of your moral fortitude. Life is short. Get your kicks! :p

Great idea. A Vapers cruise! Could we fill up a ship? Maybe Alaska? Now that would be fun!

I really can see the attraction in buying all the latest gear, mods, loads of spare accessories. But I'm going to make do with as little as I can survive on. I was easily getting through 50g (~£15) of Cutter's Choice (rolling tobacco) every 5 days or so - add the Rizlas, and you're looking at £96 per month (and if you're smoking tailor-mades, it'll be more than that).

My eGo-T starter kit (2 batts, 2 atomisers, 5 carts (+charger)) and 50 ml of RY4 BM2 eliquid (which, at the current rate, will last 6 weeks) cost a total of £65. I'm aware that the attys won't last that long, and yes I am tempted to buy accessories galore - but even if every month, I shelled out on the equivalent of a starter kit and 50ml liquid, I'd still be saving money (£~30). Just sticking with what I have, and replacing bits that fail as it happens, I'll be £70+ better off a month. So yeah, unless you get obsessed with collecting gadgets and accessories that you simply don't need, you'll be saving serious money - probably upwards of a grand (GBP) a year, depending on your smoking habits.

In the 2 months I've been using my ego, I've spent almost exactly $300 on "vaping stuff". And I figure I've saved $600 in "cigs not purchased". So I'm $300 ahead, plus I have batteries, atomizers, cartomizers, fluid, etc on hand. I could go for a month or two without placing an order.

I won't, but I could.

Once you find the right PV and start into DIY juice, you'll save alot more. I've got an Ego T and I love it. I can even add a booster to it for VV. I've just started into DIY juice and I'm starting to see the savings. Of course the first 3 months I spent about the same as on analogs. LOL Maybe for Christmas I'll talk the wife into an ego booster.

even after buying 4 reos over the last year and I just splurged and bought myself a provari for my vape-aversary next month thats about 800 dollars worth of PV's and lets say another 600-1000 bucks worth or misc BS (juice, attys carto DIY stuff batts...) I've still save money over the last year its almost 4,000 dollars a year to smoke @ 2 packs a day here. my monthly maintenance cost is dirt cheap thanks to DIY, great box elder sales and greenhouseone. and I'm sure I've added years to my life because man smoking was killing me.

I have a couple of setups that I like and use, neither of which are expensive mods. I make my own juice. I went from 25 analogs a day to 5, and around here the brand of analogs I smoke is around 9/pack, so I'm saving $270/month. My DIY juice costs me about $20 so I'm still ahead $250.

Where this costs me money is in my attempts to convert others. There are several friends I've ordered complete kits plus I mix them up juice for free. Being Ms. Generous gets expensive quickly, but even including that it's still cheaper than analogs!

Cool. You should convert me to a Buzz Pro with the wood veneer. :2cool:

I am using a $15 plastic mod box, not a fancy metal one. An Ego (clone) 3-stage instead of a VV. There are ways to have fun without spending as much (though I will admit it is just a stalling tactic, to prevent the spending of larger sums)

:)

BTW - once you have tried every juice flavor you could possibly like, the juice buying will slow down.

And a tip - if you have Raspberry and Chocolate, you don't need chocolate raspberry. If you add a good vanilla or caramel or cocoa or chocolate or fruit flavor to a plain tobacco, you have have a lot of options with a simple tobacco flavor. You can rescue juices you don't like by mixing them with a tobacco or vanilla you do like. You can rescue weak flavors by adding a bit of DIY flavoring.

First, welcome to another western Washingtonian (Tacoma here). Glad you found us. We have vape meets in Tacoma a couple times per year so hope you will join us at the next one.

I spend a ton on vaping cause I am one of those 'must try everything' types. It is still worth it in the long run and I feel so much better. I cannot believe I am close to 2 years off cigarettes...woo hoo.

I have bought lots of mods tried all kinds of juice and really went all out on spending for vaping. 3 mods over 200 dollars, and I added it up and I am still saving. I even gave up some other bad habits to support my vaping. Now I just eat ramen noodles and live in a cardboard box. Wanna see my Provari? It's really cool.
