Hi, been vaping for about 5 months now, I am analog free, and have settled on a Silver Bullet as my vaporizer of choice. I use a tank, with carto's, mainly because of the convenience while I am out and at work. I have tried the ones that Altsmoke sells, tried Smoketech from Crystal Clear, but I can't seem to get one to last very long. Most get clogged or burn out after 4 days or less.
My question is twofold.
1. Which is better, single coil or dual coil for longevity?
2. Does anyone have a recommended brand, and vendor for this brand for pre-punched cartos?
Thanks in advance!

Using a Don (see below) which the same as the SB. I use SmokTech 1.7 XL cartos and a Chopper tank and they last me 2+ weeks before starting to tight draw. Have a mom and Pop sub tank coming. I like the tanks I've mentioned because they've got a side hole for easy filling.
What pg/ vg ratio do you vape? very important for the wicking into the carto. too thick and dry burn, too thin and flooding. also the size of the hole is important. I punch my own. LR are much harder on the batts.

Edit: Here's a carto filling vid

Sounds like your not first filling them enough and they're are dry burning out. I use the condom method to first fill Occasionally if I'm vaping hard I'll either drip into the carto or take the side filler hole cover off and inhale without the element. Note most tanks become pressurized when low on juice and this can cause problems.

A couple questions

1.) What kind of juice are you vaping in your tank?
2.) Are you vaping at 3.7 or did you combine two batteries to get the 6 volts?

I vape a lavatube and I typically use a 3.0ohm Single Coil Smoketech carto since I like to vape at a little higher of a voltage. If i'm using dual coils they are the 2.6-2.7ohm range and not the 1.5. I use pre punched cartos. The older smoke techs came with one hole, but the newer ones I've ordered have three holes.

My guess is you might be using a viscous liquid or one that is super sweet. Are you damaging the tank at all or is it just the carto?

Some juices can tend to clog them up much quicker than others. If you are using high voltage a single coil at 2.5 or 3.0 would be better (imo), but at 3.7 volts LR 1.5 or 1.7 dual coil has been pretty reliable in my use. I usually get about 12-14 +/-days on mine (both dct 1.5ohm (4.2volts) and single coil 3.0ohm (5.2+/-volts)) on a Provari. I hear boge cartomizers are highly recommended. I hope this helps and good luck.

I generally use EC blends DK555. I get it at 70pg/30vg ratio. It's a tobacco blend. I am using the SB at 3.7 volts, and the cartos have just the one hole that they come with. When I fill them, I usually drip about 40 drops through the top, in addition to filling the tank about half way. I also had 2-3 cartos that were DOA, out of the 10 I bought from Crystal Clear. And the tanks don't get damaged. Thanks for the responses!
