Actually, two questions.........

First - Once the battery (X2 btw) is completely charged....does it keep it's charge if it's not used? I keep several charged batts - manual and auto with the manuals turned off - in a case for emergencies. Just wandering if I'm actually going to have an emergency and all my emergency batts are dead! The HORROR!!!

Second - Is cold air bad for a batt? Let me explain......when I'm in my car with my pv hangin around my neck and the a/c blasting I'll reached down to take a puff and the battery is ice cold! I have tried moving the vent, but then I'm not getting the cold air where I need it to battle the green house effect. I don't mind it being cold, I just don't want to be doing any kind of damage to my beautiful rainbow 900mah X2!!

Thanks in advance. :)

I have left X2's sitting for a couple weeks fully charged and they worked fine for me when I pulled em out. May not last as if it was just charged but should get you by in a pinch.

I dont think cold air is gonna wreck your X2 either. If anything the colder it is the longer the batt should last charge wise. I think the only thing you would have to worry about is condensation and potential rust....but since an Air Conditoner should be removing condensation from the air you should be fine. I would just check it for wetness every once in a while and wipe it if you see any especially on the connections and/or charging cap.

AC kinda cold no I wouldn't worry about it. Freezer or snow storm cold? Yea you might worry about that.

Battery lasting... You're better off with the manuals for one :) mine have only gone a few days, but I didn't loose any charge off them. Mine are autos though, so I wouldn't have expected them to keep charge for over a week, even if they would have. Manuals though, yea I would expect them to keep more of their charge over standby time. For sure.

batteries have there own internal resistance which will act just like your using them but at a very, very slow rate. That being said, this type battery chemistry will hold a charge for a very long time for all practical use. It would take weeks if not months for it to drain by itself. Assuming it not old with many, many charges behind it.

Cold air? It wouldn't effect it one bit, probably help keep the coil cool if your vaping constantly. Freezing is a different story.

If it's an auto, you might want to look down to see if it's vaping all by itself. It is an air switch and enough external air pressure (your AC blower on high) just might activate the switch.

I'm pretty much only using manual X2 these days. I keep the autos in the case in my purse.

LOL @ freezing......I live in SE Texas! We get MAYBE a total of a week of freezing weather here each winter......maybe.
I haven't noticed any condensation but I will keep an eye out for that just in case.

    Thanks for the answers!!
