There seems to be an awful lot of posts about this thing called a Reo. Folks who have them seem to be fiercely loyal to them. What is this all about?Other than having a bottle onboard instead of a tank, what makes these so worth having?

I thought like you when I first come over here not too long ago then I got one.

2 weeks later I have 2.....pretty soon I'll get a Grand VV and have 3......after that when wood's become available I'll have 4.

So you ask what makes them so special and worth having?

My answer is: "buy one" If you don't like it it will sell quick anyways but I'd bet you LOVE it. Or stick w/ your meat stick tube mods. It took me far to long to realize how great the REO's really are.

Keep in mind I'm extremely biased only because I'm the texbook definition of "sold" on Rob and his REO's.

Grab and go. Ease of use. Simple no mess no fussing about with it. Heck it's easier than smoking

BTW, Darrel, in answer to your post on another thread about how so little beat up my workhorses look....... the most abuse they get is from DH dropping them on concrete and rocks, every day, and I only "let" him use the Silver Anodized any more. I do protect mine from drops as much as possible but when they do take plunges, from my hands, it's most often many feet onto mostly rocks. I just can't stress enough how amazing the Silver Anodized are at hiding all "abuse." Last big leap one of my REOs took was 10+ feet, off of deck onto rocks below. It was new Black Anodized VVG, white door, with RM2 and Trippy Tip. Only damage was one small ding on black body. LUCKY!!!!! It jumped when I was taking picture. High winds, ya know. After I discovered the Silver Anodized, when Robert first released them, all other REOs are relegated to more genteel use. "Genteel use" includes plenty of splats onto hard floors and lots of "swimming" and plenty of dust, muck, and dirt.

BTW... it's really hard to show the "abuse" in casual pictures.

but don't believe everything you read in this thread...

half these folks have vaped themselves into ecstasy on their Reos, and don't really know what they're saying...

... the other half starts their shift shortly, so more of the same... :)

Hi Texaslimo, welcome to this forum. My advice: DO NOT get a Reo! You see the problem is this - Reos are unbreakable, simple to use and the best vape with the Reomizer 2. And 6 ml of juice for dripping on tap with some spare 6ml bottles says that's all you need. And truly it is. BUT once you have one Reo, you very soon after get an urge to get another one and another one. After I got my first Reo Grand, it took exactly 6 days to order a "backup". Right now I'm fighting the urge for a raw tumbled to polish. If you read through some of the threads you will see plenty of evidence that this is a virus that affects most Reo owners. The bottom line: You are going to spend as much on Reos and Reomizers as you would have spent on other devices in your search for the perfect vape. Only difference is that with the Reo your search will end, but not your desire for more Reos. THUS, if you can resist temptation, buy a Reo and Reomizer2. If not, stay away!!!

It is incredibly simple, yet elegant, and produces a wonderful vaping experience, even better with the reomizer 2.0 (RM2) RBA. It's pretty much indestructible. The community here is awesome, knowledgable with tips on how to get the best experience from the Reo, and quick with suggestions and answers when someone has a difficulty or a question. The things that really tipped it for me when I was deciding whether to order or not was the community here in the forum, the owner actively participating in the forum and the ability to order springs and rebuild kits from the website. Even though it's a 'box' mod, it's surprisingly comfortable to hold in your hand, and the quality is unquestionable.

Nothing left to say that hasn't already been said. Pro tank, evod, carto tanks, boge carts ect. Reo with a good rba namely rm2 kicks their ... out the park every time. Takes a bit of getting used too, but having vaped them all side be side same juice the only thing I'm thinking about is when will I have enough money to buy another. Also loads of YouTube vids to walk you through the reo and rba thing. Only downside is I'm powering through my juice!!

Can't think of anything that hasn't been said. However I'll give a +1 to all above posts. I've only seen one person that didn't like the Reo in the four short months Ive been here. That being said the Reonauts here jumped in and helped him find what was wrong and now he's a happy Reonaut. Reonauts and the Mod Master are the best people on the net.

I know or know of a very few peeps who have used REOs but prefer something else as main vape. That doesn't mean they necessarily dislike REOs though. They are teensy minority.

I've owned my REO Grand for all of 12 hours.
On the PV side I've come up through kr808's, 5v box mods, a variety of vv and mech box and tube mods.
For toppers I've gone through pre-filled cartos, attys, dripping attys, carto tanks, RBAs (gennys and drippers).
My gennys took a back seat to drippers because the flavor was worth the hassle of having to drip 5-10 drops every few minutes. Drippers leak but it is still worth it, the flavor of a good dripper can't be beat.

Then I got a REO /w an RM2. Now I have to go through my collection of PVs and attys and visit the classified section to see if I can get enough for another REO.

REO's don't leak.
Clean dripper taste.
6mL of juice, no dripping necessary.
Able to easily activate the lock with one finger - literally.
More "stock" vapor than other drippers. Of course a lot of this is due to set up, but there's something about the RM2 that makes it easier to get more vapor out of it vs other RBAs if you compare same coil wraps/Ω/wick. It's porcupine magic.
Machined out of block aluminum, you can literally run it over with your car, pick it up and vape it.
It's mechanical, no electronics, wire or solder to fail.
Parts that can fail due to wear and tear associated with anything mechanical can be replaced by the user or sent in to have Rob do it for you if you are not mechanically inclined, don't have time, or are just plain lazy.
They come in a wider variety of colors than any other MOD I have ever seen (that isn't wrapped in colored paper for decoration.) It is a tough, powder coated finish.
Wood versions, VV versions and different sized are available from time to time.
Made in USA.
Retains it's resale value.
Comes with a spare 6mL bottle for quick flavor changes, more available if you want them.
Drives with you nice. In your lap, between your legs, in a cup holder or laying on the seat next to you. 6mL of juice and an 18650 battery you just squonk n vape. No fiddling.
Will outlast many less expensive MOD purchases. Very finely crafted and durable.

If all of that isn't enough, as an added bonus - it's just down right sexy.

It's not a fad, many MODs have come and gone since the REO has been around.
Individual REO PVs have been in daily use while whole product lines have come and gone, and you couldn't get their owners to part with them.

It's not an inexpensive MOD but then it's not cheaply made. I literally could have purchased 3 more REOs had I not purchased the PVs that I have that I was/am not happy with.

I wonder how much I would have saved had I just gotten a REO to begin with? Who am I kidding, I would just have more REOs by now. (but I wouldn't have had a junk box filled with... well broken junk.

Just my 4¢

Great summary! Could be a sticky. I'd bet that your opinion will bring in many new Reonauts. Maybe add it to your blog?
