A Return To PV, And A Hunt For The Right Device

Yes, it is a fairly long title, but describes what this thread is about. I finally gave up analog cigarettes, I hope for the last time. I went fully cold turkey, not using my e-cigs anymore, just straight stopped everything. And so far, I really haven't had any cravings. I have actually pretty much replaced cigarettes with coffee

But a random passerby yesterday smoking, made my brain think how much it missed the act of smoking. It kinda worried me a bit, as I don't miss the smell, the feeling, and how easy breathing is these days rocks. So tonight I opened back up my e-cigg box for the first time in ages, and pulled out my inferno, and the one last clearomizer I had unopened. Oddly, the Inferno battery was still holding a good charge, and all my e-liquids are holding up well, and I am currently smoking the e-cig again, hoping it will keep me from returning to the analog version.

But I am already back to my main problem; I don't like manual batteries. Period. I just don't like them, and prefer the automatic batteries. But I don't mind the size of my inferno, and love its far larger charge capacity. So my question with this thread is, is there a good automatic battery that is, at least in charge amount similar to the Inferno? And also what would be a good cartomizer, clearomizer, or whatever, to go with it. I have not been a fan of any of the tank systems, and I also am not a fan of dripping. So I also would love to find a good, decent sized cartomizer like solution.

Never heard of V4L before, and honestly never really considered doing any variable voltage.

Ive seen auto box mods on madvapes website. Inexpensive, uses an 18350 battery I believe, might suit your purpose if you dont mind the looks of a black plastic box.

I use an echo/igo. Auto bat with 1300 mah you can get them from mtnvapor in black in 1300 or 650 mah (I have one of those too) Vaporgirl sells a stealth version which I got in yesterday in 1300 0r 350 mah in black, purple, or chrome. The original echo has a Large blue LED on the end, the entire end of this fat bat lights up. I used black duct tape on the echo's so all I had was a blue ring. The stealth version has a little pinhole blue light on the side of the battery.

These are 808 threaded, so it can be tough finding clearo's. mtnvapor has m3 clearo's which hold around 1 mil. I like these, but the top will come off it I put it in my pants pocket, no problem with shirt pocket. vaporgirl has ce5+ replaceable core clearo's which I also like, they hold around 2 mils and do not leak.

The 1300 mah battery is about the size of an ego I think. 4.5 or 4.75 in. long, about .5 in. in diameter. The 1300 mah will last me more than a day. The 650 mah about 3/4 of a day, but it's 2/3rds the size and easy to conceal in your hand.

I looked at the v4l auto VV battery, but I can't convince myself to pay $50 per battery, when I'm happy with $16-19 per battery.

edit: don't forget the charger, I did. vaporgirl included a charger with the battery, mtnvapor didn't. It's a cordless usb charger

I think I will go with the military stealth one from vaporgirl. I like the look and size of it. And as for the clearomizer, I heard good things about the MT3, and you mentioned the CE5, which do you think would be best? I kind of like the whole filler less design, but no idea if it works well.

It should be mentioned the Echo is flat-topped like a standard stick battery. It doesn't have the cone threads like an eGo.

Be careful of the stealth version. That little pinhole LED is also the only spot for air to pass through the body to activate the switch. Los Marauder loves them, but any dirt or lint that gets in there can make it stop working untilit's cleaned and I'm told that can be a ......

The Echo cartomizer is awesome. It holds 3 mils and can be completely disassembled for cleaning and even be rebuilt. They last forever as well.

I would actually recommend the kit from Moutain Vapor. 2 batteries in either 650 or 1300, or a mix, and 5 cartos for $45.00. Dennis also carries the best quality Echo cartomizers I've tried, and is one of the few vendors to carry the dual coil cartos. If the big LED bothers you that much, you could always grab a Kuwako for a cheap pipe mod.

The auto eGo would give you more carto/clearo options, but if you want something that you can just grab and go the Echo is it. I've been rotating the same 2 cartos for nearly a month now and haven't had one die yet.

I pretty much agree with all of this post, except this part. It's 100% wrong. As I vape with the pinhole covered. (edit: that could be true with the echo cartomizer, it might fit so tight that there is no airflow, I've never tried one) A lot of people like the echo cartomizer, I just don't like cartomizers in general, so I haven't tried it. I didn't find an mt3 clearo with 808 threads, they were all ego/510 threaded so they would not fit on the stealth without an adapter. Vaporgirl does not sell the female 808 to female 510 adapter, I'm thinking I'm going to get one to increase my clearo options. As for the blue LED, as I mentioned, a circle of black duct tape worked very well. It was cheap, easy, and effective.
