I wanted to post this review in the regular forum, but this actually works out better. Because it may save you some stress in finding a device to start with. This is my review of the Smoke Gear SGT Starter Kit.

I know the name sounds a little shakey, but the Smoke Gear SGT is a solid product. I had vaped before, but was starting to tire of the novice models of E-cigs. I had a Riva 510 and a Mega Trex, neither of which could hold up to my usage and needs.

I stumbled onto SMOKE GEAR – ELECTRONIC CIGARETTES and found that they pretty much kept it simple. They have one model, and two colors. I live in hawaii so there is not a lot of option other than the internet to get my gear. It was a Hawaii based company, so I figured, What the hell.

When I received the Smoke Gear SGT, the box that it arrived in was fantastic. It was like opening my own little gift on christmas. I understand that has nothing to do with the actual device, but when a company puts thought into it's presentation, it makes me smile.

I opened the box and was immediately taken back by the fact that unlike with the Riva and the Mega Trex, I was given TWO FULL DEVICES! They come in two colors, Chrome or Black. I chose Black. It is 2 900mah batteries, two Cone/Atomizer Combo, 4 direct drip cartridges, and a usb/wall charger.

The battery life is absolutely amazing! I can use one battery for two days. Moderately vaping. The Throat hit is a 10 out of 10, and the vapor amount is also a 10 out of 10. The Cartridges are clear so you can see how much juice you have left, and the are more pleasing to put your lips on than the traditional carts.

The prices are slightly higher than the average, at around $90 for the complete starter kit, but quality cost a little more, and also there are some online coupon codes occasionally. I had to buy three devices before which was a total of almost $200, and this one device has lasted longer than all three of those put together.

I give the Smoke Gear SGT a 9.5 out of 10. The device itself is perfect, I just want more variety on the juices. I ordered a menthol, and one that they have dubbed Red Bang, which taste exactly like Red Bull. LOVE LOVE LOVE them. Great Juices at great prices. All and all I would say give em a browse and order one of these is you want to start vaping, or you have vaped for a while and need something more user friendly and sturdy.

Aloha Da808, and welcome to ECF. I can fully understand the excitement that you have in your new PV. I, too, share the same enthusiasm (to the point where my wife rolls her eyes everytime I mention "analog", "PV", "vaper/vape/vaping") :)

Some might prefer a blog entry, or a separate thread for a product review. There's certainly more reading about every possible PV model and juice than I could digest in a month. The info is here, and the mods have created this new members forum for newbs like myself. I'm sure the post may have ruffled a few feathers, but I appreciate your post and you evangelizing your new PV. That's why we're here - to share our experiences, promote vaping, and tell our success stories.

Great to hear that you're enjoying your PVs. I started with the crap mall e-ciggies, and found the eGo-T (same design as yours) and haven't looked back. Good luck on your journey, and vape on!

Thank you all for the insight and welcomes. I understand at this point that what I have is a re-branded ego-T, but after hearing the horror stories and reading the reviews from those, I can honestly say that mine has none of those problems. That is why I am so excited. I used forums such as this to find my Riva510, my Mega T-Rex, etc. . . but really and truly this purchase, while a little more pricey, was worth it to me. I had friends here on the island that tried the volcano e-cigs, which have an almost identical model, and they had the same leaking issues, and hit consistency issues that most of the ego-T reviewers I had seen have. I guess my re-branded eGo-T is a new model of some kind? Because it has worked from the first hit and as I said before, going on over 4 months now.

I hope I didn't ruffle too many feathers here. You all seem very knowledgeable and helpful. . . better than a lot of the other vaping forums I have been in. Mahalo Braddahs!

Spam eh? Yeah I like eat Spam Musubi with one boiled egg for breakfast, but I don't pump Spam out brah. Think what you think, I just wanted to share an experience and get some info along the way. So far I found that I got ripped on price, but ended up with a good device. So I got screwed and blessed all at the same time. If you stay in Hawaii, then you know everybody always says buy local. Well, I bought local. I came here to share the experience and maybe help some people, and also get some help along the way. I'm getting exactly what I came here for.

By the way, thanks for the welcome. Shoots

That is what I have been hearing recently, that some do not work well. This is the first of that style I have owned and mine has been perfect for over 4 months now. Like I said in my original post. . I had couple other models before and they were good, just not up to my usage. This one works great for me. The way I use it. I assume I got the luck of the draw as far as this model goes. But based on my experience with it alone, I would recommend it to others for sure. That being said, I have ONLY had MY experience. . . not any of the bad stuff some people are saying. Thanks for the input though. What would people say is the best general starter kit/ Noob kit to grab?
