Hi Everybody
I wanted to introduce myself and tell you up front that I'm the odd man out here; I haven't smoked for nearly 6 years....analogs or e-cigs.
My quitting was incredibly easy; I went to sleep a smoker ( had been for over 30 years...a pack a day), and woke up a non-smoker, with no urges to smoke whatsoever.
That sounds hard to believe, doesn't it? I left out a couple of parts of the story. I went to sleep....actually I was PUT to sleep by an anaesthesiologist, in preparation for a 17 hour surgery to remove a stage 4 cancer from my jaw.
I woke up a non smoker with no urge to smoke. The part I left out there was that there was 10 days between going to sleep and waking up. I had a heart attack in recovery, and spent the following 10 days in a coma in ICU.
Even If I'd had an urge, I couldn't have acted on it; I had a tracheostomy and was strapped down to the bed due to the number of lines and tubes hooked up to me.
BUT....that's past history, I survived, don't smoke and don't want to. My wife, however does smoke, and has never really even tried quitting...it stresses her out a lot. I want to try to help her at the very least convert to e-cigs as a healthier alternative. having her quit completely would be awesome, but unlikely.
For Christmas, I've got her a bunch of stuff; an Ego -T, spare batts, atomizers, carts, a couple cartomizers, different drip tips, about 15 different flavors of e-juice of different strengths and bases. a PCC, a USB pass through...everything I can think of to make it a pleasant experience.
I've gotten a ton of great advice from other vapers, and I'm looking forward to getting even more ideas and suggestions here!
