hey folks!

I have had good success making more complex recipes based on popular juices. 5-8 different flavours. I am pleasantly suprised!

In any case, I am getting sick of fruity/creamy/custard juices and want to make a few simple fruit juices. Something along the lines of pomegranite, lime, blueberry, etc.

Any advice on flavour percentages if I am just adding 1-2 fruit flavours? My typical juice (Milk Man clone as an example) had almost 30% flavour and I am hoping to cut that back well under 20% (even 10%) if possible with straight fruits.

Any advice/thoughts/recipes would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, I currently have blueberry, Apple, raspberry, strawberry and pomegranate.

I also have sweetener, cotton candy, green tea and koolada. All TFA/Capella/FA.

Thanks!

Most artificial fruit flavorings seem to go wonky at much above 15%. Some go wonky before that.
Like Blueberry? flavorconcentrates.com. No artificial ingredient flavorings. The blueberry just gets stronger blueberry the more you put in.
Thanks Robert. Would you recommend 15% for most straight fruits or even less?

For most people that seems to work. For me it is less. Just start at around 5-10% in a small batch and then adjust to taste.
Some people go as high as 20% or so on some flavorings.
All depends on the flavor/brand and your tastes.

I typically Google "tfa flavor suggestions" (when using TFA flavors) and go to the first link on the results page for suggestions on the percentage of single flavors. I make a small 10ml bottle and then move up or down from there depending on my preferences. Personally, I like to keep the flavors under 10% if I can, but in the end I go according to what tastes best to me.

Blueberry ansd Raspberry will give you a Blue Rapsberry flavor. I would suggest getting a bottle of something "cream"y and making "x's and cream" flavors. Strawberries and cream is a good one as is Peaches and Cream. TFA Vanilla Swirl works pretty well for that type of thing. Most fruits as a stand alone just don't taste very good to me though.
