I had seen an advertisement for GreenSmoke (I believe it was spam) and thought, hey, maybe I can save some money with that. Initially I thought, no way, I heard about these ecigs and there's nothing like the real thing; there's no way sucking on an electric stick is going to replace my cigarettes. I then was googled to blu when I typed in e cig and I was on the verge of buying right before I found this forum. I came to it with a bit of trepidation, cynic that I am. So I started going through the forums and, cynic that I am, thought to myself, these people are being payed by the electric cigarette compaines. I read and read, and read some more. Then the cynic in me softened; everyone on the forum supported my suspicion that the widely marketed ecigs were junk and happily there were quality products out there to save me from spending my tax dollars on cigarette tax. I read for hours on this forum and I have to say thank you to all the veterans and pioneers of ecigs.

I haven't had or wanted an analog for a little over a month I believe. I did go through two packs in two days when I had a killer cold but since then I've been having fun with my 510. I guess that not knowing the last day that I smoked an analog says alot, when I quit them cold turkey I knew exactly what day I quit and how many days it had been, because I struggled EVERY day not to buy one. Ecigs are a wonderful, enjoyable alternative. Unfortunately, my main reason for quitting analogs has been defeated presently, it has become a new hobby and I may break even next month if I can just stay away from the suppliers sights.

I'm there with ya Sainted_S - I quit analogs sometime in August, not sure the exact date. Guess I could look up my bank account and see when I purchased my first 510. Love e-cigs - tried to smoke an analog a couple of weeks ago and threw it out thinking "why smoke this when I have hazelnut cappuccino right next to me?". I did get tired of the short lasting batteries in the 510 and bought a couple of ego batteries, which last hours instead of minutes. Vaping is my new obsession!

Yeah, I'm right there with you on the ego, when I get some more fundage! I always say I have the Joye510, but actually I got the mega batteries and two passthroughs, so I'm not hurting that much. I had three passthroughs but I gave my brother one when he started--that's an act of sisterly love there.

OK
You were fortunate. I bought Safe Cigs last week (likely about identical to Blu and GreenSmoke). That was $100 down the drain, basically. I ordered the EGO this after noon along with all of the other stuff, juice, cartridges, etc. etc...... so another $125. People may think spending another $100 is a lot of money - but think for ONE minute. A smoker easily spends TWICE that EVERY month on cigs.

It really is hard to put that into perspective until you think about purchasing something..... You just do not notice it as much as you buy 3 packs for $18 or whatever... At the end of the month you SPENT $200. Last year you likely spent $2500 on cigs!! I know I certainly did... and the year before... and on and on.

Now think some more on how "expensive" the e-cig option really is.... Not much. And MUCH cheaper to get the proper advice via this forum..... and buy something that is good day one.
