Hmmm, I wonder what 'scientific data' will the FDA present during it's rollout of the regs?

Electronic cigarette "vapors" are made of small particles containing chemicals that may cause or worsen acute respiratory diseases, including asthma and bronchitis, among youth, according to a new study by RTI International.

Other federally-sponsored research on e-cigarettes in the area includes several projects at RTI International at Research Triangle Park, valued at about $3 million.

It seems as time goes on & they put forth their new bogus arguments & claims, they're continually & easily shot down..

And the more desperate they get, the more obnoxious & outrageous their claims become, grasping at anything & everything...

Just recently, I've heard the following from some of their "experts"...

- The anti-e-cig doctor who does advisorary studies for the FDA is "concerned" about vapor settling on couches.. whereby people will sit down and absorb nicotine through their skin

- The former NYC health commissioner is "concerned" that out of a group of 20 people in a bar, 19 would be vaping & 1 would be smoking.. and the bartender wouldn't know who to tell to put out their burning cigarette

I'm sure there are some other examples..

At this point, they're simply getting laughed at & embarrassing themselves..

If they know what's good for them, they should probably shut their mouths...

They know their smear campaign via the media isn't working, which is why they've been going the legal & regulation route..

I'm looking forward to them getting laughed at & embarrassing themselves in federal court...

OMG. this is what I was afraid of. The ONLY approved studies the FDA accepts are the ones they paid for or that will support their opinion and outcomes. Folks, this is the worst case scenario in print.

This is a game changer. I doubt there's a shot that even a lowly clearomizer can pass the new product approval test.

I know both my asthma and bronchitis have pretty much disappeared since vaping. These studies are one-sided which is apparent. I was using 3 inhalers and a nebulizer with 2 medicines for my lungs when I first started vaping, I am down to one inhaler that I may use once in a great blue moon now. That's my study :).

Some truth to the study. I went from using one inhaler a year to one a month and inhaled steroids after I started vaping. Thought it was just my lungs clearing up but nope, it was the vaping. I no longer inhale the vapor and my asthma has improved.

Some people are sensitive to PG, have you tried a 100% VG juice?

How about: Dispersion & half-life?

Keep in mind, the couch thing came from Dr. Jonathan Samet, who isn't exactly our friend, here...

Chair of FDA Tobacco Advisory Committee Took Tobacco Industry Money to Help Craft Research Agenda for Fraudulent Industry Research Enterprise

Whoa! The tobacco control act specifically forbids this! I was wondering how much 'dirt' we could dig up on the committee - I wouldn't be surprised that Samet isn't the only one.

Need more?

From 1990...

"'They've stacked the deck with people who have close ties to the tobacco industry,' said Dr. Alan Blum, a founder of the antismoking group Doctors Ought to Care. 'It's pathetic.'

The panel members are linked to the Center for Indoor Air Research of Linthicum, Md. The center is financed by Philip Morris, the R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and Lorillard Inc., three of the nation's largest tobacco companies. Its board of directors is made up of employees of those companies, said Pamela Phillips, an administrator at the center.

This just keeps getting better and better! Every time make this crap up it always turns out that we have a leg up on them. Keep digging up more things like this and a judge just might tell the FDA to go screw themselves.
