A stupidly redundant question about the metal fluxomizers

I only started using these when gotvapes began to improve them, and have only used the clearos till now. I got a pack of 808's in metal with my new flugo kit, prefilled with tobacco. It's not bad tobacco but I don't vape baccos so here's the stupid question. Anyone have a link to how to clean this kind? They don't seem to come apart like the clearos do...

Hi--I used to clean the metal ones regularly. I simply rinsed them in hot water, very hot water, by holding the carto 'neath the water with a pair of pliers. I did this a good 30 seconds or so and then flung out the water best as I could then let air dry after which I did a dry burn (a DB consists of pulsing your power button on and off for about 5 secs or so until the coil is' burned' clean and smoke quits risign from the coil).

Many microwave water and swish the carto around in a bowl of microwaved water and some use alcohol baths, soaks, rinses as alcohol dries more quickly.

I am sure others could chime in here...

By the way to clean the way I described above you need to pull that inner fill ring out.

Thanks, I'm down with the dry burn etc, just didn't know if I missed some trick to dismantle these things like the clearo's. I haven't had tons of luck getting those inner fill plugs back in with the others but I'll give it a go! Great cartomizers all around though, I had to go back to a LR306 for a while and found that my former favorite just doesn't cut it anymore.

They will come apart like the clearos without too much fuss...
In this video you can see Shan pop one open...easy peasy (note: the chemicle she describes in the video isn't used in Rev 5)...I've done this with a couple and it really was that easy (I heated the bottom a bit with a small butane torch...just a touch....didn't even melt the black sticker finish). If you have problems getting it back together without leaks...just put a fine bead of super glue around the base before popping the sleeve back on. It's totally safe (dentists glue caps on your teeth with this stuff...physicians super glue cuts back together instead of using stitches these days...no worries there)...and a little heat will break the seal if you ever want to take it apart again.

For me it's easier just to grab a fresh carto for any new flavors and only clean the coils evey now and then as described at near the end of this post here.

BUT if you wanna...and you have a flavor that's so strong it needs to be 'burned out' or 'super flushed' to get rid of it...
Here's an easier way:

Use your trusty syringe with a 16 to 18 gage needle.
Fill it about half full with Everclear, Vodka, or good ole scalding hot water (distilled is best if you keep it around).
Shake it up good...

Stick your syringe back in so it's about half way in one of the filler holes, turn the carto upside down, and draw all the fluid out...

Repeat this a few times....you can try it with the big ring in as described above...or pop it out for more room to flush and shake out all the fluid and let dry. I just leave it in myself. I like to use the PGA as it evaporates out easier and faster than water.

Flip the carto battery threads up...
Use the syringe again to shoot your chosen cleaning fluid through the air tube as fast as you can to wash the gunk off the coils. Repeat and inspect till it's clean to your satisfaction.

Juice it up and vape on

Ok, more great ideas, thanks so much! Fact it, turns out I am able to get those fill rings out after all on these, it was much harder to do with the first batch of clearos I had, these black ones let go of them a bit easier. The very first one I used though just never got good, I ended up doing all the little tweaks but couldn't ditch the bad taste, wasn't the tobacco after all. It was just one of those bad ones you'll get sooner or later. The second one I cleaned right away, trimmed the fill cap a bit and it's vaping away perfectly. Thanks for the tips and help, now I have some options about how to clean them!

Yes, the bottom ring seems to fit tighter in the metal ones...or maybe it's just that the metal is more porus than the clearos so it 'grips' the silicon more.

solution: Use something small and stiff...a tiny screw driver...pin knife, etc. Carefully Wedge it between the ring and the sleeve and do a full circle to loosen it up. If your tool isn't thin enough you might not be able to get very far down in there...but that's ok...for me it didn't take much loosen it up so it comes out MUCH easier.
