Most logical answer(IMO)
Single internal Battery short from impact. Short overloaded remaining batteries due to
extreme Resistance load causing the chain reaction.

This is based on Battery Fit in the mod and Mods lack of electrical damage after the incident.

Yes Batteries can short internally.

Series = one higher voltage battery, Same as any Battery pack.

All are linked and if one Dead shorts all are dead shorts.

Well, my son came over for a visit and generally agrees with you Crxess. He reminded me of something I had forgotten. We fly giant RC airplanes with lipos the size of 3 musketeer bars, we lost one from a plane that fell and hit a hard packed flying field and immediately swelled and caught fire . My son believes that the unit must have hit bottom first, and the perfect evenness of all batteries over each very stiff terminal let them act as firing pins. This makes the best sense to me and explains the lack of terminal movement, and the perfect inclusion of all 3 batteries, which we both agree could include Crxess's idea ... one or two were 'fired' by the terminals, and the last one or two
were faced with a sudden load surge.

Im not so big in the batteries but I believe when doubling the amperage, you also have to double the volts, so it works out to similar,no?

Anyways, yea, Ive hear things about the GOD MOD which is why Ididnt end up deciding on that one when I finally got my mod
When a mod is hooked up in series
Series.jpg

The voltage is added, while the amperage (current load) remains the same.

When you have a mod hooked up in parallel
Parallel.jpg

The voltage is the same and the amps are added.

Incorrect. I have seen many Regulated boxes using Parallel batteries for Longer Vape time rather than increased power.
Most gear is designed around the 3.7v norm and there is no need for most vapors to run 8.4v(max charge)
Running Parallel allows each battery to work at 1/2 its normal output while the mod still meets demand.

* Several UN-regulated mods are available running Series(bad idea), not to many Regulated mods.

Think overall Market, not special application.

As I said:
1: the norm for multi-battery regulated mods is series.
examples include, sigelei150, snow wolf, smy, almost all the popular ones that I see mentioned on ecf
2: the only exception - that I know of so far - is the vaproflask

So if you have seen many regulated boxes using parallel batts, I'd be exceedingly interested if you'd mention just one aside from the vaporflask that i already know of, thank you.

don't know about the Artic Dolphin yet, but I see it only goes up to 6 volts, so maybe that one is parallel.
