just so you don't have to pretend you have something to add to the conversation when really you are just trying to get your posting number up high enough to get privilages...

Hi from Houston... glad I found this site, and can't wait until I can make a little banner thing at the bottom to re-inforce the wonderful decision I've made to quit smoking coffin nails...

to all fellow Noobs....Feel free to say whatever....I know you want your posting number up too...just like me:facepalm:

Hi and welcome to the forum.. I'm fairly new myself, and just got my first e-cig today...and i love it! I'm already above the 15 post minimum so my purpose isn't really to up my post count... i just wanted to say hi! People in these forums are VERY kind and extremely helpful. I am not much a fan of online forums, but I absolutely LOVE this community. I've never seen an internet forum with so many people getting along and being nice to eachother. I bet you will find this thread is unneccessary as people will love to hear what you have to say, and offer you plenty of advice if you ever need it.

As of today i am smoke free!

By going to other threads to post for post count, it also gets you to mingle with the other members that have been around a bit, not sure why you don't like to do that...we are not going to bite LOL

a great way to get your post count up is just to share your experience with us. If you're looking into purchases and have questions POST..if you have a success story you want to share and get some pats on the back...SHARE IT...some of the people here are SOOOOOO wonderful..i mean..i really feel somewhat of a connection with them now that I'm 3 hours without a cigarette and not caring at all to have one. And I'm glad I can call you my fellow ex-smoker.

These ARE just suggestions however..i'm not trying to force you to be more social :) I'm just rather amazed with my experience with this forum and e-cigs so far.

Hi everyone, here's my story.

33 year smoker...started at age 12 (but who's counting anymore right?) All I'm interested in counting now, is how many ciggs I'm NOT smoking!! A much more productive thing to count.

Anyways I've tried everything over the years. first it was the gum....I found myself one day with 4 pieces of gum in my mouth, contemplating a 5th while lighting up a smoke....yeah that didn't work so well for me...

Next it was Hypnosis...spent some money for a seminar... attended... totally believed I was cured while I found myself pulling over to buy another pack of smokes on the way home (because I had thrown mine away during the seminar.... as instructed)....moving on..

Lets see... Wellbutrin...uhhh yeah, that didn't work either, I found myself sneaking around the side of the house to smoke...??? this was worse than being a smoker!!!! Now I was a 40 year old smoker who felt like I had to hide to smoke like when I was 12....LOL...

NEXT!!!........ Chantix...OMG... that was a fun scientific expirement!!! It turned me into a chick!!!! All of a sudden I had feelings....LOL I wanted to talk... and not just to my wife...but to anyone who wanted to listen...I remember one day I was at my dentists office talking to the girl who ran the office about all these new found feelings and she jokingly said, "Hey, would you like to go to the craft fair with me and a few of my girlfriends this weekend?"...LOL... I almost said yes!!!.. That's when I knew Chantix was seriously affecting me, in a not-so-good kind of way... Not Good...LOL I almost ended up in divorce court....not good .....really....not good.. Finally my wife ( who hates smoking with a freaking passion...said "Please go get some cigarettes!!! My response was, "What.... you'd rather me smoke....than... feel things???....LOL

After that episode< i was convinced, I would be a smoker for life and there was no help for me.... but I'm a very active person and at 45yrs old, I still think I'm 21... but my body was at the point where I was beginning to really feel the effects of smoking for 33 years... So I knew I had to do something..

I saw a co-worker with one of these crazy e-cig things... I talked to him about it, he sent me to a website, I read and read, watched some youtube videos and 2 hours later I'm placing a 149.00 order for some type of ultimate joye510 kit... (yeah, I know I probably paid a little too much, but I got a bunch of stuff I probably would have skimped on and tried to get by without) it came with 4 complete rigs, a bunch of chargers, a bunch of spare empty and prefilled carts...

I really like the 510, but just ordered an Ego/ with the bigger cartomizer...can't wait...

I'm 2 weeks and 1 day analog free....I love it!!!! so does my wife...

oh yeah... I forgot about the patch.... How many people here tried the patch and then saw that trailer for the animated moviw "meet the Robinsons" I think and related to the lady who had 37 caffiene patches on her and was wigging out, saying she was fine...LOL

Been there done that and still kept sneaking smokes...

hmmm only 3 more post to go till I can make that banner:?:

Hello folks, well now, since I am new here I guess I should take off my hat and say hello to all the nice people here. I've been reading and getting the answers, that alone I say thank you very very much! Once my count goes up I will be posting some reviews to help out.
It's been 2 weeks and I still have analogs, not nearly as frequent as before, In time I hope this will stop.

:)
