Outside DC
Things have been quiet around here lately, which is sad because there was a time this sub-forum was one of the busiest on all of ecf. Think a big part of it is this place has lost it's family feel. Figured a good way to get that back is we all get to know each other again, forget whatever has happened in the past, and start with a clean slate.

My real name is PJ, live in Maryland right outside DC. Am 30 going on 31, married to one of the greatest people on earth, and so far the only kids I have are of the furry kind. Both pups are rescues. Have been vaping for 2+ years, and there isn't much out there I haven't tried or tested. V4L is why I was finally able to quit after 9 years of smoking, and because of that they have my loyalty. Have a very off kilter sense of humor which has to be shown more again going forward. :)

I like your idea Mr. PJ ;)

Hello everyone, I go by Harmony, which is actually the name of the dog in my avatar. I'm a closet vaper, although I am getting braver every year. I will be 26 next month. I will be married 5 years also next month. We have 6 furbabies, 2 cats, Oberon and Gremlin, and 4 dogs, Wedge, Harmony, Pooka and Bones. We work with a local rescue group and most of them are "failed fosters". That's just a term, they aren't really failures, they have found their forever home with us :)
I started smoking in 2005 and tried many times to quit. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVED smoking, but there were a few things I didn't like about it and felt that the bad outweighed the good. I hated going outside in the cold to smoke, I hated the way it made me smell and I absolutely hated that I felt trapped by the addiction of having to have a cigarette, even if I didn't really want one. I hated NEEDING them, getting cranky and feeling like I couldn't breathe until I had a cig. I started vaping July 4, 2010 when I found they existed and went straight to the mall to pick up a kit. It was amazing! Although super expensive! It was $150 per starter kit, we bought 2. they only sold prefilled cartos for $25 a box (5 cartos). Hundreds of dollars later I did a little research, found I could refill them and found a place to buy KR808-D2 blank cartos and juice to fill them. I vaped for a few months, just taking a puff here and there until I didn't need them anymore. I went about 4 months vape and smoke free, and then started smoking again. In March 2011 I decided to give it another try, because of my previous research I knew there were better options out there so I got on ECF and tried to find something. I found a company everyone said was great and ordered a batt. 2 weeks after not receiving anything, no emails, no batt, I contacted them. The batts were OOS :( I knew that I wanted to do this and didn't want to wait, so I looked around more and found V4L. Ordered a batt and got it in 3 days along with 2 free bottles of sample juices and some random cartos thrown in. I was hooked! A month later I finally received the batt from the other company, but I never bought anything from there again. I have been with V4L and on the forums every since then.

I would love for this subforum to be one big happy family like it used to be :)

Brandon aka BHam or ^BH on other social site :p. Social Media Community Manager or the guy that can help with anything. I was a smoker in high school and college and I thank Smilin and the V4L Family for opening my eyes to a better alternative.

Fun Facts about BHam:

- Knows ballet (yes just ask about it)
- Has a huge ferocious, 7lb Maltese :) (I have pictures)
- I vape Peppermint and never smoked menthols
- I drive a light blue Mazda 3
- I have been dating the love of my life for 2+ years and will likely get married sometime in the next 3 years!

Ask me anything about vapes or life and I'll be happy to talk with anyone :D.

Great idea Morandir, I too miss the 'family' feel!
I'm plantlvr aka Kim. Smoked for 38 years and started vaping over 3 years ago, not a cigarette since. I started vaping just for the novelty and to hopefully be able to get my 'hit of nic' on the sly at my(former) work place. After day 2 of vaping I never looked back and I wasn't even trying to quit! I loved smoking but I love vaping more :)

I'm happily single, 56 years young, grown daughter and two grandsons living in San Francisco. I live in the Central Valley, Ca. and am embarking on a new career in wholesale plant sales. Life is good:vapor:

Hey! I'm Jennifer and I was born and raised in Southern California - I am married for 25 years now to a man I adore! 3 sons, the youngest of whom joined the Coast Guard this summer and is now stationed in Kodiak Alaska making our home officially an empty nest! Two older sons are teachers, the oldest has given me three beautiful grand babies! We are planning lots of RV trips and also planning a trip to Kodiak to see our son in May!

I started vaping 3 1/2 years ago and never looked back! So grateful to have found V4L, and it is a good feeling to know that I will never ever EVER be a smoker again! :)

I would love to see some of the old timers come back to visit more often! Miss you all!

My name is Katz, the 'in-boots' part came about because at the ripe old age of 50 I was figure skating. I don't do it anymore, but the name has stuck.

I'd been vaping for about 3 months but struggling. I was trying different e-cigs, tossing up between two brands. This forum is what tipped me to V4L, all the friendly people & great advice. I am so glad I opted for V4L. I also didn't expect vaping or the forum to become such a part of my life, but again, I am glad. V4L stuff rocks. :headbang: Have never looked back. Sometimes I still feel I want a stinky, but I've never had even one puff.

I was a public servant & ended up with bad overuse injuries which affected other parts of my neck/shoulder/arms as well as hands. Not currently working, which is another reason vaping & this forum have been so important to me.

Other than vaping, I've recently taken up ukulele, which is so much fun! Another addiction to feed. Such ridiculous little things, how can anyone take a ukulele seriously?

I drive a big, black Alfa Romeo. I have two Burmilla cats, one 15yo DD, and a DH who is a chef. 3 ukuleles. A collection of over 60 batteries, mostly V4L. Hmmm, what can I collect next? Hopefully new friends :D

My names Don. I started vaping about years ago. I live in Vegas and deal poker. I love the phrase "She wants the D". My last initial is "G". I got married in November, but I still welcome and sort of miss jenjen's scientific dirty talk to me (we're all barely legal asian schoolgirls on the internet sugarmomma". I'm a nerdy kind of guy so I thought this ecig stuff was "neato". When I started using it I loved it and never looked back. Have not been active in a while here but i've still been lurking. Don't remember the last time i Had a cig, so yeah its been a looong time. I'm one month into P90x (again) and today is yoga day. Maybe this time i'll finish all of it.

I'm Elizabeth (the secret is out) and I've been vaping for almost three years, after my 35 year old stinky affair. Native New Yorker and only 15 miles west now but I hardly ever go there. I first researched vaping during 2/2009 but gave up frustrated because I mostly found e-cigarettes for sale, and not a lot of objective information. I'm sure I saw ECF but I couldn't understand what anyone was talking about, including references to condoms that weren't exactly what you'd expect. A year later I really dug into researching e-cigarettes, and by 4/2010 I was a vaper! It's been V4L for me since day 1. I'm not saying I'll never taste another vape, but I assure you it will mean nothing and I'll be thinking of V4L the whole time! This place is home and always will be. ;)

Uba I don't think we've met. Hey! I'm BHam :). Social Media guy at V4L, how are you?

Doing good man. Thanks for asking

I'll be willing to bet you've seen a "spike" in sales from WV lol

Took me a while, but it's really catching on in my circle of friends. These tanks are a major hit. Also, that VV batt is making waves here as well.

Spread the word!

imho I think this about the family feel : 1.) we all ( including me ) have to let the past lie in the past and move forward as to any ( perceived ) or otherwise snarkiness and or disagreements .We all ( even best of friends ) are going to disagree on things but the ksy fo me included is not to take it personally .
2.) Everyone has their own thing and this forum (imho )is just that ,a forum .I myself get quite busy ( or not ) and just because i dont ask or comment on everything does not mean i dont care ,or dont revel in and celebrate with your good news:) ( and be saddened at your bad ) :( life takes us all away and i just dont always have something to say .
3.) i decided long ago to only voice my personal and sometimes quite strong opinions only to people who really know my personality ...defintely not on forums :) i wont talk politics or religion or attack you either :) my credo 2013 :)

Props on this thread Morandir!

Hey guys, I'm Audrey [couldn't guess THAT could you? ;)] I am a social media strategist and marketing manager for Vapor4Life. I'm a Chicago transplant from Grand Rapids, MI. I love everything social media and regularly use Pinterest, Facebook, LinkedIn, foursquare, blogs, Twitter, Yelp, and GetGlue. I'm a grammar nerd and spelling mistakes and grammar errors make me crazy. I like running and taking Zumba and Pilates classes. I'm not a big vaper, but I do have my favs - Turtle, Peach Cobbler, and Peppermint. Working at Vapor4Life is quite the experience. Most everyone is fun to work with and we all get along for the most part. It's fun to see all the new products and try new juices before anyone else does!
