While most health experts concede that "vaping" doesn't carry the same level of contaminants and carcinogens as tobacco smoke, they're far from convinced that it's safe. Many have called for the Federal Food and Drug Administration to regulate e-cigarettes as a health hazard.

My post never went through, so here it is:

I smoked for 21 years and quit within 2 weeks after buying my first electronic cigarette. Here is how it happened:

I went from smoking a pack a day to 6-7 cigarettes a day thanks to my first electronic cigarette. After about 2 weeks, I was outside cleaning the car and detailing it whennoticed I did not take a single break when I normally would have taken at least 5 breaks and used those to have a cigarette. The next day I had my morning cigarette in my mouth and decided I should not undo all the good that slowing down had done to me. I put the cigarette down without even lighting it and have not had a single cigarette since. It's been 6 months now and I definitely feel I will never go back to smoking.
