¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I don't think that giving it to that particular agency is a good idea at all.
The FDA is known for sending strongly worded letters when you violate their regulations.
The BATFE sends JBTs with suppressed 10mm MP5s.
Given the choice between those two, I'd stick with the FDA, thanks! :nun:

Right, the BATFE is a law enforcement agency. Giving them the task to regulate tobacco would be like giving a police department the duty of making the laws they enforce. In other words, regulation by gun-point.

If anything, the BATFE should be dismantled and done-away with. Waste of money and resources.

I think the reason they added the 'E' at the end is because they got tired of hearing that it should be a convenience store rather than a government agency.

Zeller is not a winning type of guy. Sorry. I always saw him as a participation trophy, if that. He's really… lDK nonetitical?

I can't even think about this other than I think Trump feels the more other politicians just hate him the more likely his second term is.

I kind of think he may be right and I also cannot WAIT to see what Term 2 brings if it does, because there will be No Holds Barred and either we will be in nuclear winter, or like,, America will own everything.

I am typing this because as to vapiing? NO clue, it's just a flashy announcement for now

Of course, so was Trump's presidency (3 times) so like you never KNOW.
I think it was 3....

BATFE = Bureau of Alcohol, tobacco, Firearms and Ecigarettes

    Duh. :D
I'm only 1/2 way thru my second cup of coffee this morning and I forgot that the 'E' was for explosives, so that (e-cigarettes) was the first thing I thought of..

It's not a word but the invalid adjective? (God I don't want to do grammar in the morning.)

I don't think the Sprit of Satan possessing Hillary C is nonetical. Oh my she is a character all right. LOL.

That was my favorite thing to say to my democratic mom. "I'm not voting for SATAN, Mom." Steam would come out of her ears.

Sorry not ecig related really well there is steam involved

ATF does tax revenue enforcement, with an occasional testing for methanol from an illegal still. Tobacco is tax stamps. Firearms, well, I still can’t figure out what they actually do with that.

Asking them to take on e cigs makes no sense because they have no infrastructure to test and interpret complex data of medical significance. They would need to own the current Tobacco Institute and then act as though they were FDA inspectors (who the TI rely on for inspection and enforcement) which would require some significant training for current staff ( who are law enforcement agents not factory inspectors) or hiring and training a whole bunch of new agents trained devoted to that job.

Then again, a new standalone TI will face the same issue of who will go inspect all the factories. They should already have in agency staff that knows how to test products, but it doesn’t mean anything if there’s no one to go into the field and assure manufacturers are doing what they say they’re doing, and not using some minimum wage employee standing over a vat of juice scratching their head ( who cares about a few greasy hairs in their juice) trying to remember if they used Ry4 or Ry4D in the mix.
