Hi all,

I have been watching this site for a few days now, and I have managed to get the courage to join and say hi.

A few things about myself,

My name is jenni, I am 37 and live in Leigh, UK. I am married with one (almost) teenage son and a variety of animals (cats, beardies, snakes).

I bought my first PV just after christmas (DSE 901?????) tried it a couple of times, couldn't get used to it at all, so dropped it and went back to normal ciggies.

I decided a couple of weeks ago that I needed to give up smoking so went to my local NHS stop smoking clinic, and met with a wonderfull lady who took me though everything, and provided me with patches and a inhallator which to be honnest is rubbish. So I picked up my PV again and have been using that in conjuction with my patches, and I have now been ciggy free for 5 whole days, lol, I know that doesn't sound alot but it's good for me

now for my question, I am using pre-filled carts with my ciggi, and they are very intermittent to say the least, they taste very sweet and when they work they are fantastic, (1 will usually last me the whole day). Which is the best (and best value for money) pre filled carts available. also am I safe to use my eciggi with the nicotine patches I am currently using.

Thanks for listening to my drivvle

Congrats!! Well I wouldn't use patches when using the e-cig,you might overdose!8-o You should invest in some e-liquid so you can refill your carts, this is much cheaper and you can get better tasting juice.I would suggest 555 or Hilton in 18 mil nicotine to start with and work your way up or down according to your needs. Hang in there and good luck! You can do it!:thumb:

Thanks for the replys guys,

I am not constantly using my VP, just when the urge gets too bad and I think I am gonna give in and have a ciggy,

also, I take my patch off at night, as the damned thing keeps comming unstuck, and falling off anyway,

Good idea about the 0% stuff, think I will try that.

will let you know how I get on, I am quite enjoying the VP when I use it...... :p

Hi jennibob and welcome to forum..........

I know what you mean about them coming off ha-ha! I tried patches for a few days once and was crawling walls 8-o Just didn`t help me and as you say they don`t stick well. The ones I had left plaster type sticky marks too!

If they helping you though good luck with them and As long as you only use your 901 when the urge for a cig really takes hold can`t see problem as you not constantly vaping it!

Cartridges are a (chemically) sweet taste as you commented, I quite like taste but they not to everyones liking? If you don`t like the thought of messing with liquids etc Wicked UK a good a place as any for cartridges or liquids, always good reliable service IMO! They cheaper more you buy but by sound of it 25 probably last you a while? Also do menthol if that your cup of tea?

Tobacco Electronic Cigarette Cartridges - DSE901

Anyhow good luck and keep us informed....

It varies so much on personal use!

I quit a 20-30 day habit of superking lights (called 100`s in USA think) and get through a 30 ml bottle in about 2 weeks or so give or take so about 2ml a day of 11 or 14 mg strength.

Works out about £10 a week in juice and then cost of blank cartridges on top. I use each cartridge for about a day before changing, secret with 901 cartridge is to keep it topped up (not over filled though otherwise you get juice in mouth and nasty taste and numb lips ha-ha)

There plenty off topics about filling cartridges etc if this route you decide to go down (cheapest)

I think that moving onto nic vaping would be very dangerous as this is re -introducing who whole smoking habit. Some just want to vape because they like it, but for others its a step to giving up 100%. By reducing the nic level in patches over a peroid of time you could be completly nic free and vape free all together, snt that what this OP is trying to achieve ?

Sorry it's been a few day's guys,

thanks to all of you for your warm welcomes, :)

Logan4 is right, I idealy want to give up completley, so I have ordered some 0% juce, and will give that a go......

I haven't had an analogue now for 7 whole days (yey go me) and I am vaping less aswel, If i feel the urge for a cig, I take my patch off and then don't put it back on.

Night time is the worst time for me

Jenni,
Glad you made it back. Your in the right place. Good people and advise.
I think you'd do better by filling your own carts. More choices, and more easy on the pocket book. Read on the forum on how to fill them. If you must buy carts. I'm sure others will fill you in.
I would be cautious with patches and vaping that you don't take in to much nicotine. Good Luck.
