A victory at work today.....

I came to work today and brought my little ecig with me. Out of curiosity and the fact I was taught "you never know till you ask" I asked my boss if I could vape at my desk. I work in a natural gas lab and he said no problem I asked him why he wouldn't mind and he said "well you will be at your desk and in the lab all day, and you won't stink. Plus it really doesn't produce a smell so why not."

Just wondering how many others have had success in being able to vape at work?

Success here as well... Most of my employees vape and only 2 smoke. I asked them to consider the switch to vaping and they wouldn't have to clock out to go outside to smoke. Unfortunately our owners require them to clock out to smoke... Understandable.

I am lucky enough to only have one other person besides myself working in my office. The bossman(& my coworker) are ok with me vaping in my area as long as i dont do it out on the shop floor.

I work in a high rise with no open windows, so I understand that they won't let me vape on the floor. However, I asked the security team before I vaped outside the designated smoking areas, and they said I can vape anywhere in the lobby and around the building.

Yup, I've been way more productive.

My company is a Fortune 500 and we have approximately 200 employees. I've seen a couple people vape at their desks but I wanted to ask first before I started. I asked and they said they would get back to me. I started seeing more and more people vaping so I just said screw it and now I vape at my desk. No more cigarette breaks. And if I get frustrated, you'll see me vaping instead of smoking.

Our company is so Demanding.
They preach hydration in the heat of Summer, to protect themselves. Then they removed all the iced water chest to avoid slowing production.
Now the water is kept in the lunch room which may only be entered during scheduled breaks.
Any action not maintaining or advancing production is considered stealing company time and grounds for separation.
Vaping at work......here........not a good idea.

I work at home, so vaping at my desk isn't an issue, I'll just be glad to stop smoking at my desk and clean my house in hopes it wont smell like an ash tray

A few people here at work vape. Which is where i picked it up. I used to be the guy that would walk out of the building in the heat to go smoke with a few other guys. But now that i got my ecig, i get to just stay at my desk and vape as i please

That's pretty cool. I probably could at my desk since I'm behind a locked door with limited access with 1 other coworker. I'm just afraid that if I do I would be doing it all the time. Plus I need the time away from my desk and moving around. I'll just continue to go outside.

Most of the time I still treat it as smoking out of courtesy to others. I go into the smoking areas and limit doing it in public places. I know technically I can, but why push it. That's just me.

I did discover that the local mall in Tulsa frowns on it LOL! Had to explain to security what it was and that it was not drugs LMAO! Think I will go outside when at the mall again....

Just at my desk, no where near the samples. Though it's an ecig I would hate for a malfunction to cause a spark and blow my face off. Natural gas is finicky like that

I have my own office at work, and can basically do whatever I want in here. That said, I still like getting up, and going outside. The mental break, and physical removal of myself from my office is a smoking ritual that I still like to continue.

I work in large office space full of sales people, as the Product Manager they used to moan when i got up to go smoke now they all happy for me to sit at the desk and vape, have even converted 2 smokers to switch to vaping as well. Soon the whole office will be vaping
