After making a small order of 2 bottles of juice from myfreedomsmokes.com, I was notified the following day that 1 of the bottles was out of stock, which was not mentioned anywhere on the site. I sent a reply, saying I wished to keep my order, as I had heard good things about the juice and the company. I asked them to please send the other flavored bottle to me in the meantime, as there had been no mention that the second flavor was out of stock.

I received a response the following day, stating that the other flavor was out of stock as well. This frustrated me, because had I known the entire order was out of stock, I would've looked elsewhere. When I sent an email back, stating that it would've been helpful to know that both flavors were out of stock beforehand, I was greeted back with a snotty response that read

"How would that have been helpful? On a $22 order I wouldn't have shipped one without the other..."

As far as I can see, there is a $1 shipping charge for each flavor on the site, so there is no extra cost involved in shipping one without the other. Maybe I'm from the old school way of doing business. But as far as I'm concerned, whether the amount spent on juice is $1 or $300, when the company makes a mistake and advertises something as "in stock" and it's not, they should be going out of their way to make up for it in some shape or form, offering a replacement or some sort of solution. Had the 2nd flavor been in stock, I would fully expect that the company would do what they could to get that out to me in the meantime. The above quoted response, to me, is not a response I would expect from a company that wants my business. Just my .02.

Wow! When did all of this happen and where are you at in the US?

Up until recently, there have been two locations, so it would be interesting to see which one would have shipped your order and thus made the comment above. It certainly doesn't sound like Chris by any means. I have given him really good reason to lay me out in e-mails but he has never done so. Also, he has piece mealed an order for me before with no questions asked. He wants happy customers and that is about the tall and short of it.

I would also try calling Chris, as I suspect this was not him who sent you this message. Just my $.005 ~ inflation got the rest.

It seems to me it doesn't matter who at the company sent the snotty message; it shouldn't happen. And orders should not go through on out of stock items. I hope we see another post saying ditc got an apology.

I totally agree that these types of messages are uncalled for on any customer service level. However, the fact remains that there are two different people who aren't a part of the same company anymore. That is why I asked the questions of ditc. Just trying to clarify, so it can be tracked down and ditc's issue can be resolved as soon as possible. :) I already sent Chris an e-mail asking him to look into this issue and feel confident he will more than correct the issues at hand.

I can assure you I won't order anything else from someone that conducts business and treats potential customers in that manner. I cancelled my order early on into this ridiculous email exchange. Chris is certainly entitled to his side of the story, but given that the entire exchange took place over email, the full story, from both sides, could be shown if he or I chose to post every email back and forth in it's entirety. I'd be happy to do that, but I feel like I've already bored everyone to death enough!

Thanks mamacat. My only purpose in starting this thread was to make people aware of the business practice of this company from my own personal experience. As stephaniems said, she's gotten rude emails as well, but puts up with it because of the quality of the product. I can't remark on the quality of the product, so I'm not trying to overstep my boundaries in my complaint department.

I just feel that as a fellow consumer, I should let others know that if they order from this company, there is a possibility they may be treated the way that I have. In this economy, as well as with the amount of competition there is within the ecig industry, treating a new customer in any way other than stellar, is certainly not a good look.

I completely understand your concerns and am one of the most demanding of consumers, whether it be a store I walk into with my own two feet or one I encounter on the web.

Please give me the opportunity to help out! I think you will be more than happy when I get done. I do not want to make any excuses but would be more than happy to chat with you via PM. I am unable to contact you via PM, so if you would like you may start the chat with me. I can then explain some things in further detail and hopefully it will help in your understanding of the situation. I have been dealing with Chris since the middle of April, so I can say that this is SO not typical of him.

Thanks in advance - mamacat

No, not at all what I am suggesting.

I hope to be able to let everyone in on what is going on very soon - like by the end of today or tomorrow!! I am just waiting on ECF and Chris for the go ahead first.

Thanks in advance! mamacat :)

No im rivet. Plus I hate dealing with online suppliers, never had a really good experience with any of them. Any company thats does not have a customer telephone number for information and complaints should in my humble opinion be avoid. It's a firewall for them to hide behind. JantyUSA springs to mind :)

This is the Goldrush for E-cigs and anybody with a pick a shovel and a website wants to mine that seam.

FWIW I dealt with Chris last week on an order. There was a 'glitch' in the shipping and he was prompt to make it right. All correspondeace was prompt and curtious.

While it does not make his response to this situation 'right', I as a business owner myself have more than once literally gone over the counter to get at a customer that just pushed one button too many. It happens...

Hopefully this was all just a matter of poor circumstance. Maybe someone just ran over his dog and had stolen all his Pop Tarts... Because if I am forced to deny myself his Watrmelon Juice I myself am going to be a miserable SOB!

That's the problem I ran into, and when further trying to discuss with Chris, a solution, he instead created MORE problems, thus resulting in me cancelling my order abrubtly. I refuse to deal with someone with poor business tactics, who was given a number of chances to explain himself. My advice is to assume EVERYTHING is out of stock on that site unless you are some how made aware otherwise. These emails I sent to him started a couple of days ago, and even after that, there has been ZERO update about things not being in stock on the site... Just letting you know ;)
