So I bought one of these (a606, Versa, vTorch) after hearing some positive reviews from others on the forums. I got mine from DCV and before I say anything else I want to point out that Bill is the man, he's been awesome throughout the whole process and super receptive to my problems.

Now onto the problems. First, and the most glaring, I "can't" screw down any carto/atomizers I own because the connection completely covers all of the draw holes. I have to leave it half screwed in to get any sort of airflow through whatever I'm using. This alone nearly ruins the unit for me, it takes constant adjustment to get the holes lined up and then the slightest bump causes it not to work again. I adjusted the connection post but nothing changed because it's not the problem, the notches in the connection are (I believe).

The second problem, though not nearly as bad, is the numbers this unit thinks it's using. A friend of mine measured it his scope last night and at 4 volts it was nearly pumping 5 (!) and he said he couldn't get the unit to output less than 4 volts the entire time. This isn't a huge deal cause I mainly vape around 5 volts but if you're using the screen to calculate the amps you're gonna have a bad time! It also fluctuated on the resistance of my cartos, reading 2.2 through 2.5 when it should read 2.8 or so.

The unit itself looks pretty awesome and the menu system is decent once your used to it but the other problems are making me want to send it back. Anyone got any ideas?

I purchased the VERSA from Tim at vaporbeast about a month ago. I had the same problem with the air flow, so I sent it back and Tim sent me a new one. Same problem with air flow, so I started looking and found that the positive connection in the PV is smaller than the hole in the cardo (boge) for me. At the same time I noticed the vivi nova was fine because the connection in the vivi is designed with a smaller air hole inside the connector. I think I was the original finder of this problem. I did get around it with a sealed stealth 510 - 510 connector and I have not had a problem since. Tim is working with the manufacture to correct the problem, the original design had a manual adjustment with the adjustment screw on the bottom of the connector. I am hoping they will just go back to the original design.

As far as the voltage being off. I have had mine on a scope (I am a radio tech) and looked at the voltage with a boge 3.0 ohm cardo. I had approx 0.3 + or - on almost every voltage I set it on until the battery got to 3.4 or 3.3, that is to be expected. The wave on the PWM looked good. Don't get me wrong I'm sure it is not on par with a provari but it is better than some I have tested. It was not real choppy on the lower voltages as I have seen on other units and also not as smooth as a darwin. So If dcv is the same kind of company a Vaporbeast they will take care of you, however I am not sure if they are looking into the fix that I explained above.

So I wanted to thank everybody, I literally got this fixed a couple hours after I posted this thread. My v2 510 to 510 shorty adapter makes it possible to use anything I want, although the problems stem from what wseternmd said, if the airhole isn't recessed there is sometimes a problem (without the adapter).

As far as the scope thats just what my buddy told me, I have no idea what the charts mean haha but the build quality is pretty outstanding aside from the new post adjustment and I dial to taste, not watts, so it isn't a big deal anyway.

I have to give a shout out to Tim/Stratus at Vaporbeast. He sent me a PM explaining the problem and offered a 510 connection for me. Because of this I want to order some juice and supplies from him as a thank you and submit a positive supplier review. Bill at Dark City Vapor has also been extremely helpful, he suggested I send the unit back for a new model, it was completely my choice to keep it and try for a fix. And Bill's Triple V juice is delicious!!

I have been using the new T3's on my VERSA. You need to get a 510 to eGo adapter, what I have been doing is using the stealth 510 - 510 and stacking the eGo adapter on top. I am not crazy about stacking adapters, but I don't use the T3's all that much. The adapter for proper air flow is crucial on almost everything but a vivi nova. I have been told there is a fix on the way, so we can get rid of all the damn adapters.
