Today was to be the day I started only smoking 5 analogs.

Decided that was way to low to start out. Honestly, I don't know what in the hell my problem is. But won't stress out over it or feel like a failure this go around.

So...................looks like 10 close to 15 by this time of night. Hey, better than 20.

Just a diary to self and those interested on how I am doing. BTW, the 510 so far rocks. When I use it. Getting more familiar with it. How it works. How long the battery lasts. How long the juice in the cartridge lasts. When to blow out the atomizer. Just little things like that. Still have to get that dag done alcohol (purified) to be complete with this particular system.

The mind is a complex thing. Especially mine. LOL

Remember... there's no rush, no timeline, and no hurry.

My cessation was a weird thing. I had no intention to quit. I just started vaping one day... and then slowly noticed that I was smoking fewer and fewer analogs. Pretty organic.

Last Friday I smoked the last one out of the carton I bought 4+ weeks ago. *SHRUG* Haven't felt the urge to buy another pack... so I haven't. No big deal.

You are further along than I am! I don't even have my device yet - ordered it last week. Mine is coming as a 901 with an adapter to switch to a 510. I understand that reading about batteries, juice, atomizers is a whole different thing than using them. I've read where it takes a bit of time to become acquainted. I expect you are knee deep into that part!

Yes, the mind is complex. I would add that "things get complicated."

It's different for everyone. I wanted to quit but couldn't bring myself to do it after 13 years of smoking. I stopped smoking the day I got my first PV. It's great even if you just cut down the amount you smoke by a couple of analogs a day. Go at your own pace. What matters is that it's helping many people.

I've seen alot of people here just put them down with little difficulty, once they get their PV. Betcha can't do that with patches or gum!!! But we're the bad guys (from the FDA's perspective)......... I think the real problem is that they have way too much time on their hands

I just tried the ecig because my husband bought me one to try. I was a dedicated serious smoker. I smoked for 40 years 3 packs a day. Most of my life consisted of smoking. After a few days using the ecig I was suprised I was cutting down on cigarettes. I didn't intend to it just happened. My husband say if I could quit cigarettes using an ecig then anybody could.

There is no hurry. Just relax and take your time and I think it will just happen.

I actually enjoy vaping an ecig over a cigarette. Hard for me to understand this.

I got my starter pak 6 days ago. At first it was very hard to like the PG based ( ultra sweet) liquid. Kept trying...remember now that I've been smoking for 50 years..yup, 2 and 1/2 packs per day for the last 15 years, not so much in the beginning years..less than a pack per day. But, you know, that addiction just keeps increasing over time.

NOW, I actually prefer to vape than smoke and know I will really enjoy it when I get the VG liquid.

While charging the batt yesterday I found I was trying to smoke the same way I vape..small, frequent nips.....did I ever get dizzy!! Then realized what I was doing.

It's been nearly 2 weeks since I had my last cigarette. I was a pack and a half per day smoker for 30 years and decided to do whatever I could do to not end up toting an oxygen tank . I stocked up on attys, batteries and juice. My desk now looks more like a chem lab, but hey whatever works! I try to have at least 2 e-cigs with loaded carts available at all times so I can quickly squash the urge to smoke. I never leave the house without my PCC, extra carts and battery. Being well prepared seems to be a key part of it for me. Like the others have said, each person will find what works for them and I'm sure you'll find a way to get it done:).

Best of luck to you Jody!
