Oliver, THANK YOU!

Unfortunately, that is the problem. I first started noticing 10 or 15 years ago that society was becoming the "ME" society, not caring about much of anything except that "they" had theirs. I'd like to think there is a return to contributing to the common good and fighting for a common cause but I fear that is not the case. Government has divided and conquered by giving everyone a little "something" and sneaking the pie away without notice.

Further, the other thread encouraging support for this film, Billion Lives Needs Help , is now 7 pages long but I'm only seeing the same hand full of people posting that they DO support this film &/or they are trying to help in some simple way. I realize this page just got posted but the numbers are even weaker.

According to the "stats sheet" there are 244,795 members on this board (nearly A QUARTER MILLION PEOPLE!!!) and this is the amount of interest that is shown??? I don't get it either, Oliver!

Sorry I don`t think I have never posted in the General Vaping Discussions. I share the info every time. But I think the more information that we can get out there the better. It is time we took control of our lives back and sharing information is the way to start. Yes it is true I started Vaping for me, to quit smoking but am proud to say I have passed it on to four others a small part but a good start. I hope it snowballs.

@AdamAnd Glad you popped in! Awesome job on recruiting others too! Good on ya, Brother!!! Vaping truly is going to change and prolong lives. In the government's eyes, though, a healthy population ISN'T good for the economy. Where are they going to get all of their tax and health care dollars and who's gonna pay all that "extra" social security!
Welcome to Gen Vape.

SHS is so deeply entrenched that even hinting that it might not be correct marks you out as a science-denying weirdo to the vast majority of the public.

So please cut Aaron some slack. You have to go some distance before you realise that the concerns over the validity of SHS are genuine and that the people raising them are not crackpots.

AGREED. And THANK YOU!! I understand the concern many people have that any high visibility, pro-vaping media (particularly content with so many vape professionals in support of it) that we must be absolutely "spot on" with the facts. Especially a movie of this caliber that has the potential to reach as many people as it inevitably will. But as Oliver so aptly says it - "SHS is so deeply entrenched... and concerns over the validity of SHS are genuine." It has to be addressed. Too many people already believe. I agree we need to get the rest of the vape message out there, but I firmly believe that things such as the statistics and lies surrounding SHS must be addressed, as well. Those of us who have thought for ourselves just a little bit sometime in our lifetimes know it's junk science. But the machine has done a great job of convincing a majority of the public that it's not. It's a big job. There is SOOOO much misinformation out there.

Thanks again Oliver. And a huge thanks to Aaron and his whole team!!

I think this is a very good interview. I never heard of this host but he does a good job in this video.

I removed the video due to some cursing that it contains.

Search You tube for

looked this up to watch. Thanks!

very well said!! Amen!! Even so many doctors still believe this crap cuz they don't think for themselves. I live in a town with a HUGE teaching hospital, so we get a lot of med students/residents. So many of these residents just regurgitate garbage! Refused to go back to one cuz of this issue, told him twice he really needed to research it himself!

I have been following this film for months, and I even had the opportunity to have a very small conversation with Aaron himself, at a vape convention, here in Irving. Although admittedly, I didn't know it was him, since I hadn't had the chance to see his face before:oops:. I just knew I was talking to someone connected to the film. A very personable gentleman. I have contacted the Angelica Theatre, which is the home of the Dallas film festival, about showing A Billion Lives. Hopefully enough people will do the same , to peak their interest.

I looked up contact information for the Angelika theater, can you confirm this is the correct information?
Located in: Mockingbird Station
Address: 5321 E Mockingbird Ln, Dallas, TX 75206
Phone:(214) 841-4713

When y'all call, please ask to speak to the manager.

But I looked up the Dallas Film Festival, and it says it was in April this year. I'm afraid next year might be too late. We can still call along with other theaters, and ask them to show it. Is the Dallas Film Festival a really big one? @Oliver can you find out if Aaron is aware of this one?

wow, Great review! Thanks for posting this!!

That's the right one, and the Festival has passed for the year, but the Angelika shows independent/art house/documentaries year round. :)

Honestly, as soon as you start talking about "cults" and "god complexes" and "psychological manipulation" you start losing people.

You might not consider it hyperbolic (considering the facts of the matter), but that language is a sure fire way of making yourself sound extreme to outside observers (and, as I've admitted, to inside ones too).

Question then,
Is it proper for Queensland's Dick to call Vapers - The Beggers? o_O
Are these remarks any less Derogatory?

Agreed, calling what we feel they THINK they are in a forum may(or not) be okay, but in a Debate on the politics, not so logical.

I put up with that as it grew worse and worse over the years, until I felt as abused as and 70's and forward Minority. They Gained Social Ground as we became the Evil of Society. We, the neighbors, businessmen, Families, Co-workers who wanted nothing more from life than they. The people Duped at an early age by the Real Corrupt of Society - Big Tobacco.

Just who are Societies Corrupt, the people Trapped or the People Profiting from that trap?

No! Those remarks are derogatory. But, honestly, it's not about that. It's stylistic. Here's the kind of language that works:

www.antithrlies.com
www.clivebates.com

Patient. Analytical. Forceful. Persuasive.

I've always felt that the combination of both types of attacks are helpful.

The fringe element exposes what CAN be said and done.
The more thoughtful element gets to work on what will currently be said and done.

In all movements, the fringe element is important and useful.
At least that's what history tells me.
:)

Having said all that, I do believe it's best that the fringe element does not go too far too fast.
Don't want to turn the public against your movement by being too nuts too soon.

Yep, that's the one. They do a lot of independent films there as well. And it's conveniently located right at the station, so no need to try to find a parking spot. We could crowd the place, easily ;)

I also noticed that the DD has been floating around since 2012 and most here were considered to be wearing tin foil hats if they mentioned mounting a fight way back then or stocking up just in case. It was only about the time I signed up here that there were murmurs of urgency. In my opinion, the vaping community & major manufacturers have shot themselves in the foot by NOT becoming cohesive & inclusive, by not advertising and touting the wonderful, fantastic, nearly miraculous benefits of such an amazing product, instead choosing to rely on word of mouth, the internet and social media to get the word out.

Not sure if this is the thread I quoted this in or not, hope so. lol  The deeming was released as a proposal two years ago. Jup, most ignored it. I found out about it a year and a half ago and that was when I began learning to build, diy, and looking into getting REOs. As to fighting back with the lawsuits, there was much talk about it, but my understanding is no lawsuits could be filed until the laws were actually signed into law, and the deeming actually became official. Otherwise you'd be filing a lawsuit over something that hadn't really happened yet.

Where can I see it? The whole movie
Call all your theaters ask for the manager, and ask for it.

Take a look at the first post in this thread to see ways that you can help promote it...... let's face it, the FDA and other powers that be aren't going to want it released big in this country. And releasing it in a huge way, is the only way it's going to have a chance of making a difference!
