I am hoping all the hype around the 510 is right. I have a starter kit shipping today from Innovapor. I have read many good recommendations and chose it due to them. I will follow up next week with my results

Yosam

Honestly, I am one of the people who think the 510 is overhyped, but I think you will like it. Its a good starter especially if you pick up the PCC and an extra battery or two. Its easy to use and works pretty well. The battery life is frustrating if you are a heavy vaper, but the battery life for most of the cig looking models isn't stellar.

What I don't understand is the dyslexia epidemic that is going around with the 510. Why is it so hard for people to see that it's not 501? Is it because of the 801s and 901s? It seems a huge number of people on this forum (even owners of the 510 themselves) can't seem to get this straight. I know I'm nitpicking, but it's really starting to get to me like when Bush always used to say "Nuke-u-lar" even when he knew it was wrong.

Yes yer picking nits!!! :D

Thanks applejackson, it was driving me nuts as well. Mainly cuz I was guilty of the same thing some time back 'till someone pointed out my 'dyslexic' error.

Can I get one of those in black with a blue tip? My only concern is it looks like it weighs as much as I do! :p

Yes. Most of them are black with blue tip. They weigh the same as automatic batteries. They also look identical except for the button. I'm not sure what you're looking at, but I'm guessing it's one of the mods (prodigy, gg, adaptever, SD) because looking at a 510 manual battery next to 510 automatic battery I can't see what would make you think it looks heavy.

As usual, I agree 100% with the Wiz. Manual switch is WWAAAYYY better than automatics. Atomizer is great, too. Battery charge life sucks.

Love you! Agree about the 501 to be solid. (Of course, manual battery)Top of the line for the tube types.

But, (my tried and true) Screwdriver is still the very top for me.

My poor Janty stick, is on the shelf and awaiting a 501 adapter. The atty that came with it got so black and cruddy and gunked up after jusrt 2 weeks. It also had a bad taste and smell too. (Not into cleaning.) I typically toss attys at two weeks anyway, but never had one so nasty before, at just 2 weeks. (stopped me from buying any more parts for it till the 501 adapter is available.) Oh, I hope it makes a difference. Or, if not, it will be up for sale.

Gotta agree with Agnes! In my opinion, my Screwdriver is still at the top of the vapor chain! :nah:

Thanks for the reply Applejackson but I was actually replying to an earlier post by someone else. Sorry!

I do agree with you, though. But, why would you think that posters that can't grasp spelling, grammar, paragraphs, etc., would be able to get model numbers straight? ;)

Note: I live in a glass house so I shouldn't be throwing stones about grammar and stuff!!! And by the way, Ms. Agnes can spell, transpose or whatever she likes, as far as I'm concerned!

Just got my 510...I'm pleased with it overall...just having a bit of trouble adjusting to the manual switch. I'd still prefer the automatic (more like smoking an analog) so I'm hoping in time they'll get better. I'm keeping my Smokestik; I like it...just not how quickly the cartridges run out (I'm now refilling, out of necessity).

Oh I see. You're referring to his avatar. That was unclear. I get it now.:p

Yeah, it's a lot to expect people on ze interwebz to post properly, but I figured throwing it out there might correct a few. It's a petty gripe, but it still irks me.

I can't figure WTF is going on here lately. The Technical forum is loaded with 510, 901, and 801 problems. What's happening here???????

I have the manual 510, RN4081, M401, 901, and 801, & I'm not having problems with *any* of them. They're all hitting, and steaming.

Jim, this is what it says about this area of the ECF. Please explain to me how my OP is not aligned with these criteria's?

Thanks

Your criteria is aligned perfectly. I wasn't intending to derail the thread. It was just my opinion about the 510. I have a 510 too, and have more batts, and attys coming as we speak. Good little cig, for the most part, but it amazes me how many people are complaining about problems with it.

Sorry if I gave ya the wrong Idea, Buddy.
Cheers;

No problem Jim! You know how it goes when we rely on our fingers instead of our mouths to speak ;-)

I concur with what you said bc I am waiting on extra parts too. ;-)

Not trying to be a jerk, but is this confirmed or just your observational opinion?
It is a very important question to me, so I need to ask.
Deadcat.....This is a personal observation based on my personal use of 3 different atomizers(510,801 and 901),and also based on posts I have read on members carts actually melting within the atomizer itself.Hope this clears things up!:)The Wiz!

Jim.....What complaints are you hearing on the 510? My only complaint would be short battery use before re-charging...and not having enough spare batteries(which I am in the process of correcting).Other than that, this may well be the best pv I have used since I started vaping 6 months ago.:)The Wiz!

Ok, let me see.
I first got a Blu, got me into e-cigarettes, stopped me smoking anologs.
Then the atty crapped, had to have something else, looked to ECF for advice.
Best I could see was the 510, I ordered one, received in 3 days, LOVED IT
Ordered another, and another, and another, I now have 3 kits and 2 more
on the way. the 510 JUST ROCKS. GREAT VAPOR just suck a** battery life, that's why I have more than one. JMHO
