Hi guys! I'm about to buy my first PV kit but just before I make my purchasal, hope y'all can answer some of my queries.

I'm thinking of buying either an eGo-C or an eGo-T variable voltage. Does anyone here own either of them and can give me some insights on which is better?

Here's a list of my questions to make things easier for y'all.

1) I understand that the good thing about eGo-C is that the atomizer is changeable. What I am not clear is that I thought the atomizer is attached inside a clearomizer?

2) Is owning a PV much of a hassle? Do I have to wash this, clean this and that often?

3) To get clear on this, the only few peripherals that requires constant changing is the clearomizer, tank that holds the liquid and the liquid itself right?

Thanks for the help :) The peeps here are really helpful from what I've seen so far, hope I'll be able to contribute once i own a PV myself.

Hello & welcome.....I have both the Joyetech C & Twist. Having a choice - I'd go w/the twist as you can up the power if you'd like; remember tho the higher you up the volts-the more drain on the batt-the shorter the time before you have to recharge.

The atomizer, I believe you're speaking of, is the heating element that you would put a tank into. This is what holds your juice (this is the tank that some complain about leaks; I used that system for many months & was quite happy - if you go w/that make sure you get some silicon end caps-they do help w/any leaking.

The 'c' system is a atomizer that consists of a different heating element (a head) - also good & 1/2 the price of replacing an atty.

I recently gave up on both of the above & have ventured into the world of cartos & clearos. I got very tired of cleaning the 'c' heads w/o success & having to pitch them. The carto IMO give a fuller volume drag & just taste better.

I don't know if any of the above helps you - hope it does & want to wish you luck on your new path!

i'm have my ego T from the start but also depending how greedy are if you have a deep pockets go for vmax... not sure if you have any friends whom also vape? if you have friends whom are vapers, ask them to let you try out and see what you like?

Ego series is small but the output is not enough for me but to someone who is new might be sufficient for a start.
Soon you will start to read other reviews and upgrades on yourself. so do not rush into buying when you see certain pv which you like a lot.

Answers to yr qns:

1) if u use the interchangeable ego-c atty head, u won't need tt clearo but rather, some empty cartridges tt is supplied along with yr pv. A clearo is a one piece unit with heating element inside (wires + wicks) and if u use this, ditch e c heads and empty cartridges.

2) Maintenance is pretty easy with a pv. Just wipe connectors clean with an alcohol swab every weekend or fortnight. Send e c head for a warm bath or denatured alcohol shower and replace with a new one whilst waiting for e used c head to dry. Having spare batteries help, too, just in case.

3) As per expandables or recurring expenses, tt would be yr atty or clearos (once a mth or so with proper refilling methods) and juices (a rough guide would be ard 10-20mls/wk). Maybe at year's end, u might need to get new batts as well.

Hope this helps and sets u off on yr journey! Good luck, buddy!

Thanks for all the replies people. Cleared a lot of my doubt!

Seems like my supplier don't provide the c head even though I'm purchasing an eGo C. They just bundle it with 5 clearos.

If it's this case, it seems like getting an eGo-T VV is better right? A vmax and a lavatube is kinda out of my budget, I'm kinda new to this so my budget is at $100 for a PV for now.

Keep the advices coming people! It's really helpful for any new comers who might be reading this! Thanks :)

Seems a little strange to me that your supplier doesn't have the heads - I don't want to be out of line but is this the 'Joyetech C' or a knockoff?

I think they swapped it out and packaged it with 5 clearomizers instead. Kinda weird eh?

Anyway, is having variable voltage a big plus? I'm thinking between a eGo C or eGo VV. The eGo C package have 5 clearomizers. If having variable voltage is a big bonus I might go with eGo the eGo VV instead, seeing that the eGo C without C heads is kinda redundant.

Ok I got eGo T VV! Hope it work out well! Can someone explain the resistance thing to me? I'm quite puzzled by it

Hi - You did good..I do like the twist. To my small amount of knowledge the higher the resistance, the cooler the vape. The lower resistance such as a 1.5 burns much warmer & generally will burn out on you quicker. If anyone wishes to correct me - please be my guest.

I got an eGo T though, not a C. All the local suppliers that I know of don't seem to carry a C. If any local brothers do know any, please update me! It'll break my heart but I guess my friends can benefit from it :)

Don't feel bad - IMHO I still think you're better off with the one you bought. I have a bunch of 'c' heads that I've put away; I was not thrilled with the life of the heads & the cleaning of them was just toooo hit or miss. I'm having much better luck w/cartos & a tank (cheaper too)!

U r right, MM! Also, it will affect e wattage of yr vape.

E VV eGo-T can churn out 3 diff voltages, 3.2, 3.7 & 4.2v. Playing ard with multiple resistances of atties/clearos/cartos allow u more satisfaction in terms of e kick u get frm e e-liquid. Most users report their sweet spot being anything frm 8 - 13 watts. How do u measure wattage...? It's voltg x voltg / resistance. For eg. 4.2 x 4.2 / 1.5 = 11.76w. Just nice for me.. If this is a bit too overwhelming, try going higher on e resistances or lowering down yr voltg.

Here's an ohm's law calculator to get u started - Calculate power.

It doesn't matter what kind of head you get, so long it satisfies you.

Err. Let me rephrase. It doesn't matter what kind of atomizers you get, so long it keeps you off the analogs. :s
