All the symptoms you are going thru are the same for people that quit cold turkey or use gums or meds. Your body is going thru withdrawls , nicotine being just one of them.
Your body is healing and ridding itself of all the stuff that was in your lungs which are now being expelled. You may feel sick, like you have a flu, cough, cold etc.
First thing that happens when you quit is the lining of your lungs and I think even your esophagus start to regrow little hair like cells that normally keep your airways clear. When you smoke it actually burns off. Almost immediately they start to grow back. You may have a sore throat, cough up phlegm, etc. Thats all the stuff that was where it was not supposed to in your lungs. Some effects last a long time.
You might feel feverish, again withdraws to all the others of 1000's of ingredients you are now not putting inside your body.
The Tingling in your body is your vascular system either going back to normal or because you are getting too much nic.
Nicotine is a vasoconstrictor, it tightens up the capillaries and arteries and veins. So if you are getting less nicotine maybe parts are getting less tight or vise versa if you are taking in too much nicotine. Its quite normal , because E-cigs dont have a definite start and end, you might be getting too much nic.
There was a whole section on the forum that listed the common symptoms of quitting. From feeling anxiety, depression, crankiness and all the flu-like symptoms.
I had a buddy that would quit every couple years and go back because he felt sicker than when he was smoking. That was his excuse: "If im going to feel like **** and like Im coughing out a lung, then Im going to at least enjoy myself" and go back.
Make sure you talk to your Drs, because some of the symptoms might feel like many serious conditions. ANy BIG change in your body for good or bad can and will affect you seriously.
Maybe someone will know where all the symptoms for when you quit went to.
Here is a link regarding the Cilia
How Does Smoking Affect the Cilia? (with pictures)
I copied and pasted this part:
"
Remarkably though, stopping smoking can undo the damage to cilia rather quickly. In fact, they begin to repair themselves and regenerate in number within only three days after quitting. It should be noted that coughing is a common side effect to this process and may last from a few days to several weeks. This is because the restored cilia are working overtime to remove impurities and mucous from the lungs. If cough persists for more than eight weeks, however, a medical professional should be consulted."
Try Google-ing this sentence, its sad, funny and enlightening.
"why do smoker swear they are dying when they quit"
