About to make my first semi serious e-cig purchase and need a yay or nay :P

All these different types of e-cig's are baffling me. I have an e-lite that i bought from the store. It lasts me about 2 hours of continuous vaping which i tend to do out of boredom when playing computer games etc. But i'm looking for something that lasts longer. Cant find many reviews about the Halo Super/Ultra tank but after watching a video about it i have to say i love the look of it.

http://www.ecigarettedirect.co.uk/halo-super-tank.html

If this is a good company, good product, decent vape production at least more than an e-lite.

If it isnt a good product could anyone give me advice on a half decent product i can get for £40~ that comes with a few spares etc. Really like the look of the Clearomisers but its not necessary and ive heard it can get messy.

Any help appreciated. Want to buy it asap as my e-lite battery doesnt last long enough and im afraid if it runs outta battery i may go to the shop and buy a real pack. Only been off the analogues a day and a half so far but still gotta start somewhere.

Cheers,
JP

Follow up questions. What is the vapor like on the eGo batt with the clearomizer ? How often do things break. Thats a big one for me because i dont wanna be running about once a week or so buying replacement parts. How often do parts need replaced and whats that going to cost me.

Also another question which i think i already no the answer to but....Does the throat itching ever go away or is it always going to be there. First couple hours of using it i was coughing more than when i was smoking second day and i barely coughed but i still feel a tickle. I let mum try mine last night and on her first draw she was coughing for about a minute straight....Just wanna make sure it gets easier with time.

Another thing, on my current e-lite im using its like sucking a golf ball through a straw....Are all e-cigs like that or just this cheapo one ?

Finally if you get 2 of everything in that bundle apart from the charger could you make 2 seperate devices out of it ? Myself and my mum are planning on quitting and it would be very cost effective if this one bundle would do both of us :)

Thanks in advance for the answers its just so hard to find the answers to these questions. So many people saying different things and so many products with each claiming they are the best. Head is fried :p

Justin: Vapor is much heavier than smoke. It takes a bit of time to adjust to the difference. Give it a bit of time. If you don't adjust to it, try lowering your nicotine level, if it's still bothering you try a lower pg ratio liquid.

The clearomizers are supposed to last 3 or 4 weeks. They are plastic though, so I wouldn't be overly rough with them.

As far as two separate devices, yes you can. It is two complete ecigs. You'll get about 6 hours of vape time each so fighting over the charger may become an issue. I have seen plenty of people buy a starter kit and split the batteries so they both could vape.

On the hardware, is skip the ego and go straight to a vamo equivalent vv device and something along the lines of a vivi nova stv tank to go with it, you won't outgrow it, and you can usually get 18350 or 18650 batteries that will last a while. You can smoke about a day on the 350s, or 2 hardcore days on a good 18650 battery. Just my opinion. goodluck.

About the coughing bit, most people find the need to adjust the draw. Instead of a straight lung inhale, most draw into the mouth and then inhale it from there. This wasn't really an issue for me because that's how I smoked analogs. Also for the first few days I'd have some coughing, but after about a week or so it pretty much went away. There's a pretty good write up on here about vapor inhales, unfortunately I'm Mobile at the moment, maybe another member can link to it if they know what I'm talking about.

I checked the kit and found this one at the same site which gives you a larger mAh battery. The battery does matter and will provide longer vape time before recharging. Really, the 650mAh battery isn't much, but is a little better than those store bought ecigs. It looks as though they put together a very decent kit:

i think if youre just getting into vaping an ego battery is a great choice. they sell because they work, everyone enjoys them. you wont get as much out of a standard ego battery as you will with a kicked vv device that can go up to 10 volts, but when youre starting, why would you need that?

if you do decide to go with an ego type battery and are looking for a good clearo, id say try out the mini vivi nova. it works a lot better with the standard ego batteries than the full size nova. the 1.8 ohm is perfect for an ego. also really cheap and last a long time as long as you dont fill it with a juice that will eat up a plastic tank

Yea i was contemplating getting the ultra instead of the super as i am a heavy vaper...Havnt stopped vaping in the last 2 hours or so :p I just enjoy feeling high as a kite :p And aaron to be honest i dont understand half the things you talking about :p I may outgrow this device but its £40 comes with the equipment to make 2 pretty good e-cigs. Comes with 2 15ml e-liquids which lasted be about a month last time i tried quitting using e-cigs...Infact ive still got half the bottle left from the last time :p Basically that kit will last me and mother a month might have to buy another thing of e-liquid and in the meantime i can learn more about e-cigs....And even when i do upgrade that will leave me with a backup device and god knows a backup device is always a good idea :p

Thanks for all the help guys think i will go ahead and buy the ultra tank and see how it goes.

yeah the reason they put 2 batteries in the kit is because 1 person needs 2 batteries. if you could get by with 1 battery, they'd probably only put 1 battery in the kit. 0:p But you could share for now! It looks like an OK kit. The brand Halo? Idk. We have a Halo in the United States but, I dont think they are affiliated with these batteries. I'm not from the EU sooo.. Idk if these are knockoffs or what. But, even "knockoffs" will work fine. The batteries should last around a year before they break. The clearomizers however, will only last a week or two. So you might want extra clearomizers. Also, if your really new and you don't know this yet, most ppl go through around 3.5 to 4ml of juice a day, so, you may want some more juice as well. Overall, I'm guessing this is going to do the trick. Hopefully some1 from the EU will chime in.

It will definitely become easier on your throat. If it does not, you may want to start looking for all VG juice. PG tends to be harsher on the throat. The nicotine level of the juice dictates the throat hit. SO if its really burning your throat, u may like to try a lower nicotine as well. When buying new clearomizers, make sure you get the lower resistance (low "ohms") because these eGo batteries are not high voltage. Low resistance (which means low ohm) is OK for lower voltage. Higher resistance for higher voltage. Good luck with your vape journey.

+1 on the advice.

I have a eGo-vv (variable volt) and it is amazing how juices taste with a different voltage (sweeter stuff on lower voltage). However, if I had known earlier, I'd have bought a Vamo V2 VV/VW, where you can adjust the wattage as well. In addition, even the batteries of the eGo-vv will dye eventually, so will the battery in the Vamo. Replacing the battery of a Vamo will be cheaper.
