About to order my first E-Cig

A few days ago I was about to order a Green Smoke starter kit after only a few minutes research on google. Then I discovered this site and have been lurking for the last couple of days doing research. The amount of information here is staggering, but alot of it also seems out of date. To be honest I feel more lost than before I found this site. The brands that have me most interested so far are the Vapor King (or is it V4L?), eGo, and green smoke.

Currently I smoke about 25 Camel Turkish Golds a day and I want to get off the analogs completely. I work as a waiter and my shifts last anywhere from 5-13 hours. I normally take 4-8 smoke breaks during that time. So battery charge length will be important to me. I will most likely not be able to charge batteries at work except maybe in my car. I am a man and therefore I carry things in my pockets. I am used to the size of a pack of regular cigarettes. I would like to be able carry my ecig in my pocket so I can't get anything to bulky. I also don't want to have to carry around a ton of batteries. Based on this info can any of you E-Cig vets give me some advice for my first purchase? Supplier info will be appreciated as well.

EGO I carry two 1000mah setups in my pocket at all times, even though one is all I need. I just like having two flavors. The other batteries you mention won't hold a candle to the ego relative to battery life. It's about the mah's

If you still want to have a cigarette-look device, get the Volt from smokeless image (google it). But the battery life won't last like an ego. Ego battery + Boge 2.0ohm cartos are still my favorite for simplicity and satisfaction.

I concur with KeysBum. The Ego T-Rex recommended by bossplaya29 is an excellent starter kit, and you'll be able to use everything in it as you go down the e-cig road. (I still use everything in mine!)

But I'd definitely buy a couple of 900-1100 mAh batteries. They're the same diameter as the 650 mAh batteries in the Ego T-Rex kit but somewhat longer. Given how long your shift can be, the extra power will come in handy.

You also should buy some good cartos, like Boge, plus some e-liquids that you think might appeal to you. I see that eSmokeClub's selection of e-liquids is mighty limited, so you might want to order e-liquids from somewhere like MadVapes. If nothing else, you should take a look at MadVapes' offerings to get an idea of the broad range of flavors available.

How long do the atomizers last before needing replacement? Are the those batteries compatible with any cartomizers?

Not Greensmoke. Greensmoke is the incompatible version of what Vapor4Life is. Vapor4Life and SmokelessImage are the KR808D-1, the most popular and best suppported 2-piece slim ecig

Ego and atomizers - 1 minute to several months (less if you use LR attys). And if you are looking at an Ego kit that does not say "Joye" or a kit that only comes with one atty, then look elsewhere. Try Liberty-Flights.com (that is their US site) and first press the 20% off in the upper left of the front page, then look at the Egos. Also check out the popular clone Riva 510 there (under $30 for the Riva 510 Lite Bundle). 510 has the largest variety of blank cartomizers and Boge are most popular. I use them with juices that have 20% or less VG. There are few decent prefilled cartos for Ego and other 510-threaded devices since 510 devices are rarely sold as 2-piece devices. But tons of blank cartos.

Honestly, everything you have described would lead you to the REO Grand or mini:

They actually still have a couple available. Some of them are made from aircraft aluminum. Which means they're basically indestructible. Shoot, a REO can double up and be used as a blunt weapon if it comes down to it LOL

The Reo grand is about the same shape and size as a pack of cigs.

Come with either a 6ml or 3ml bottle that will easily last you through the whole day. The grand has an 18650 that won't require you to charge it for at least a day or two depending on how heavy you use it. Also, means you don't need extra batteries to carry around along with juice.

I honestly believe that this is everything that your looking for and more. It will save you money in the long run because you won't have to waste hundreds of dollars on stuff just to find out that a REO is all you need.

Actually, the Echo is a pretty good suggestion for something you'll be carrying in your pockets. There's no manual button to go off in your pocket.

Also nice is the REO. However, you'll be spending more in the beginning on your REO. Just make sure you get: 3 batteries (2 in regular rotation + 1 extra for backup), 1 dual-battery charger, 2 510-compatible atomizers, drip tip, and cartomizers.

If you go with the Volt from Smokeless Image, which is not a bad choice, consider getting a PCC with it to keep your batteries charged.
