Absolute BEST custard recipe that RULES all??

So, I got carried away the other day, and am now awaiting ~47 new flavors to be delivered. A combination of TFA/FA/FW/CAP. Some were impulse, but a lot of them were flavors I've been noting that might add the hidden wow factor to my unicorn. Will post some recipes when they come in and I nail down some more delicious custards.

Wow!! now that's a nice order! I love those kind, its like apothecary Christmas, or mad scientist.... I am inclined to the later.

I have been in Montana the last 3 of 4 weeks, which really helps with the patience of steeping. What with the steep closet more than 400 miles away.

Got a couple of your recipes ready, finally! I know you have already tried and dismissed some of these. But I have been patient. Some have been in steep for many weeks. The Vienna Custard, with my modifications, is so close to what I am after! I tried it in a Crown with a .25 coil and it really is rich and savory. Its just a little flat on flavor. But I will ponder on it and see what I can come up with. I know it isn't a question of more steep time, for once I can rule that out!

The Cake Batter Custard: though not really what I was after... yummmmmmmy! I only did this in 20ml, mistake! Will be making this in 300mls. Actually thought I might make this and add some coconut, I like coconut.

Tried a few new recipes over the weekend (about 10 different ones to be exact), all various flavors, not just custards. Two of the 6 I made last night alone were the two that really popped. One was a clone for Boardwalk Bombshell that I found on lediypourlesnuls, and the other was Third World Custard from ELR. I'm not taking credit for either recipe, but dayum they are tasty so I had to post them.

Bombshell :
2% Brown Sugar Extra (TPA)
1% Butter (CAP)
8% Cake Batter (CAP)
1% French Vanilla (TPA)
4% Juicy Peach (CAP) (original calls for TFA, but I had CAP)

This recipe really surprised me. I'm not normally one to enjoy fruity/peach flavors, but the peach in this is almost indiscernible. It almost is like the peach adds a weird dark fruit note to the rest of the recipe. It truly is fantastic, even at shake and vape. There will be at least a 120ml of this made to keep on hand and see how a steep adds to it.

Third World Custard :
0.2% Butter (1 drop per 10ml) (CAP)
1% Cake Batter (CAP)
2.5% French Vanilla (CAP)
1.5% Marshmallow (FA)
10% Vanilla Custard v1 (CAP)

This one is a really nice smooth custard on the right track for my "unicorn". I definitely see making a 120ml bottle of this to steep for a while to see how it develops.

I'm not one to ask about steeping lol. I find juice doesn't last long in the cabinet between experiments, but if I had to guess, most cap custards I've made are really tasty around 3-4 weeks. The last one I had that actually lasted that long in the steep cycle was one I made a big 120ml batch of and misplaced it. I actually think my wife was looking for hers and put it back in her juice bin instead of mine, but it was very nice.

Edit: if I made this recipe again, I'd probably nix the French vanilla and bring up the cake batter to a 2:1 ratio under the custard. The I'd throw in 2-3% CAP butter cream. Hell, I may do that tonight lol.

CAP Vanilla Custard V1 4%
CAP Vanilla Whipped Cream 1%
50/50 PG/VG
5 mg/ml nic.

I likes it.

Playing around with FA Custard some... Like what I taste so far.

You folks like strong custard. I mix mine a 5% total flavoring.

I'm not sure my taste buds survived 35 years of smoking. I seem to only be able to taste really pronounced flavors anymore.

Edit: if I made this recipe again, I'd probably nix the French vanilla and bring up the cake batter to a 2:1 ratio under the custard. The I'd throw in 2-3% CAP butter cream. Hell, I may do that tonight lol.

I smoked for 40 years. 1 -2 packs a day for full strength Malrboro's and such.

I tried low flavor mixes but found it very lacking. I prefer higher vg (70/30) and super low builds (0.12-0.18) at higher watts (70-85). Maybe it's my vaping style lol.

Could be. One of the recipes everyone rants and raves about being a spot on clone is cap custard/French vanilla/ny cheesecake in something like a 4/3/3 combo or something and I got no flavor from it. Once I doubled it I feel it got better.

I guess that's why they taste is subjective and ymmv lol. Some of my favorite mixes are upwards of 22-25% total flavoring. There are some flavors that are much more potent than others though.

Funny thing, I've been primarily running my Aromamizer RDTA for what seems like weeks now. Last night I broke out my Aeolus v2 and dripped this mix. I wouldn't change thing for this recipe. The Aromamizer has great flavor, but I forgot how good dripping can be lol. I guess I was just being lazy. I'll be making a 120ml batch tonight. I also think it can be a really good base flavor to add some extra to. Would be really good with some strawberry or blueberry.

Getting ready to test this out in my billow nano tank right now. I only tried it in a dripper as well, and boy was it good for shake and vape. Don't think this batch is going to make the steep time. I better make a 120ml batch to see how the last 10ml tastes steeped! lol

Well, it falls a little flat in a tank, but I can't say I expected perfection overnight. Still intend on making a larger batch in the next few days to let it sit awhile.

I've had that Third World Custard on my to make list for several months, guess I better break out the flavors and get to mixing this weekend! Oops, that's not going to happen, no FA Marshmallow.
One of the reasons I use such strong flavoring is because the only pg in my mixes comes from the flavoring. VG just doesn't carry flavor as well as PG. Also, a strongly flavored juice keeps me from snacking. I always have to struggle to stay height/weight proportionate. Paid off at my 40th HS reunion though! I was one of only 3 women that was still their HS weight.

It looks like I finally have an acceptable VCT. It isn't a clone of the Ripe Vapes, but I am just plain tired of working on it. On to other things.... for a while anyway. I think I am going to try to figure out a juice for my favorite muffin. Albertsons pistachio muffin.

I'm just glad I have some things I can give back to the amazing community here. I still like to give the disclaimer that I am not taking claim to most of the recipes, which is why I post where I found them. I just like to share the wealth so everyone else doesn't feel the need to spend 3+ hrs at a time on e-liquidrecipes sifting through all the flavors like I do

As for the FA Marshmallow, that's how Third World has the recipe on ERL. I subbed in CAP Marshmallow at the same percentage and its doing just fine.

Congrats on keeping your weight down that way. I find it makes me snack more lol. All my medications help with me keeping the weight down though.

Side note, I tried the same 3WC (what I've been calling Third World Custard to write easier) recipe, but this time added a few things. I made a 120 and got a little antsy with adding in some extra flavorings (HUGE MISTAKE). I added in 12 drops CAP French Toast and 12 drops CAP Butter Cream. It definitely ruined the original flavor this juice had. I've placed the 120 on the shelf and am hoping some time will bring it all together. That one will DEFINITELY make it past a few weeks for steeping lol. I couldn't make another bottle of it because I was waiting on nic, but I got my 1 liter of nic from myfreedomsmokes yesterday so I'll be doing the original recipe again tonight for a 120ml steep batch.

As for my unicorn, all of that has been based on the Alloy Blends Electrum Blonde I tried one time long long ago. I think I may actually buy a bottle of it soon and do some taste testing to see if at the time it had amazing flavor qualities, if I've already nailed it and don't know, or I was just vaping really $hitty juice at the time and I've already surpassed it lol.

Vaping solves my snacking urge as well. I lost 30 lbs since I quit smoking in January and started vaping.

Mixed up a Grant's clone and it was divine.
15% CAP vanilla custard v2
2% TFA dulce de luche

Yum!

I mixed up a similar custard with :-
15% cap vanilla custard v1 (tried the v2 and wasn't a fan)
1% tfa dulche de leche
1% cap French vanilla
gave it a month to steep and it is very nice IMO
