Seedman's cognac tobacco is pretty great. Heavy on the cognac light on the tobacco. Wizard labs has it cheap. Really authentic flavor. I completely forgot I had it. Going to start steeping an egg nog with it for the holidays
ooooo, that sounds yummy! is your eggnog recipe a secret? I love eggnog, to drink!

my current custard base using 2 of the new CAP flavors. with the base I'll add a touch of caramel, butterscotch, coconut, or fruit for variety.

10% CAP VC
3% CAP Bavarian Cream (new)
2% CAP Whipped Cream (new)
2% CAP Marshmallow (optional)
That is the new Vanilla whipped Cream? Pretty good stuff I use it with CAP VC V1.

How is the new Bavarian Creme? I just got some smells kind of cakey to me.

Just mixed another two custards.

One i was just sitting here thinking of other ingredients with egg in the actual food it represents. Cake batter definitely came to mind as something my mother would never let me eat as a kid for fear of salmonella lol. I also saw a random post somewhere else that with FA Vienna Cream and FA Caramel, it's a spot on mixture for egg nog without the spices.

Cake Batter Custard (my own name)
CAP Cake Batter 5%
CAP Vanilla Custard 6%
FA Cream Fresh 1%
FA Vienna Cream 3%
FA Catalan Cream 1%
FA Caramel 3%

notes: i am VERY impressed with the initial drip of this one. I can't wait to see where it goes with some steep time. I would immediately go make another 120ml batch, but alas, I don't think i have enough of any of the ingredients.

I went back and made a 120ml of this two nights after I posted the recipe. From then until now, I've been trying to let it steep, sampling it every day or two to see where it is at in the steep. I cannot put it down every time I try it. I'm currently starting at my 120ml bottle, with a measly 15-20ml left in this short amount of time. It's so good that I've been trying to vape every other juice I have in my steep box so I could save and savor this one. I would just make another batch, but I'm wicked low on the cake batter, custard and completely out of the Vienna cream. I'm buying bulk for my next flavor order and this will be a staple for me. Not quite what my unicorn was, but this is damn good.

How would you describe this custard?

To me it tastes just like Blue Bell cake batter ice cream. It wasn't at all the flavor I was going for, as I as just mixing things that are supposed to have an eggy taste but it's been an adv for me. It's good enough that I'm going to make a modified version tonight with the little bit of the components I have left until u can get some more.

It's literally the first flavor that I've made and had to have more.

Wow! that is quite a compliment to this flavor! I haven't made but maybe 6 or 7 liquids that I have felt that way about. I made this a few weeks ago ( didn't have the FA caramel so subbed with TFA) and probably put in a bit of butter, but I have to be more patient than you, as it still has a bit of a chemically smell to me. I will give another week or so, but am quite excited to try it now!

What I found with the FA caramel is that it's not as fake tasting as the TFA. It's more sweet and syrup-y. With the FA Vienna cream it's a nice smooth combination.

I just went back to make a 120ml using substitute flavors and didn't have nearly enough cake batter, so it became a "science experiment" where I was just dropping in every flavor I thought would go good together. Hope I didn't just waste 30ml of flavoring lol.

And what have you named this "science project"? One of my very favorite juices came up because I picked up the wrong bottle in a recipe and then tried to "fix" it. I have never been able to duplicate it as I was in panic mode and didn't keep notes. It lives in memory, long live the mystery juice!

I actually labeled it "cake farts". It's good, just not what the original recipe was lol. I'll vape the 120ml while I wait for payday to get the next batch of ingredients lol.

Hey guys, with Cap's Custard V1, I've tried letting the stuff steep a couple days in a few mixes, and it keeps on giving me an almost fluffy-waxy-peppery flavor. I'm not using it strongly, but it seems like the butric acids are really overpowering. I get no flavor from it whatsoever other than that above. It's not bad, but it's rather like how Cap's Cake Batter reacts. Plus, while the effect is dense, the flavor is rather flat. No egginess or sweetness. I've even tried mixing a drop with a bowl of whipped cream and it ended up tasting weird, even in coffee. Is something wrong with my bottle? It seems so many people love this one.

Second, I'm looking to make a custard that is not flat or soggy, one that has a white, fluffy, sweet flavor (like Charlie's Custard) but one that is still not overpowering in the sweetness. Like, one that has that predominant high white note that's distinct but not sickly nor tastes like you're liking a sweet latex glove. Again something like Charlie's Custard or VCT without the smokey.

Any ideas? I'd like to stick with all-Cappella as just have had worse luck with FA and TFA.

Also, I'm looking to even make a VCT clone. I don't want to use tobacco extracts, but I'd want the same idea above but with a smokey layer. VCT's is really unique, it's more of almost a texture than a flavor, but it's there and I'd like a higher VG version. Anyone know any smokey ingredients that may give this effect? Are Cap's Tobacco's any good?

I haven't tried any of the Capella tobaccos. But some fa oak wood and a bit of inawera burley does the trick for me. It is on the dry side. Sweeter I like inawera black for pipe. This a much bolder pipe tobacco flavor. The oak wood alone will add a smokey flavor. Strong stuff I start at a half percent.

And cap vc needs to steep for at least 4 weeks before it really gets good. The first 10 days it tastes like chemicals to me. Then it starts to get better.

Going to have to agree with sketchness, you are rushing the process. There are a very few recipes that are passable with CAPs VC v1 in a few days. I can't even stand to smell it for 2 weeks, much less attempt to vape or finger test it. I have been working on a clone for Ripe Vapes VCT Private reserve for months, it requires at least a 4 week steep. Which is why it is taking so long! Every little adjustment to the recipe, and 4 more weeks..... arrrrrgh! Because of this long steep requirement, my most recent modification is to add genuine oak chips, and honestly it is the closest I have gotten to getting the smokeyness that seems genuine. But I know that many people are happy with adding a flavoring to achieve the effect. As always, taste varies.

I have only had Ripe Vapes VCT, is there others?

So, I got carried away the other day, and am now awaiting ~47 new flavors to be delivered. A combination of TFA/FA/FW/CAP. Some were impulse, but a lot of them were flavors I've been noting that might add the hidden wow factor to my unicorn. Will post some recipes when they come in and I nail down some more delicious custards.

Is that CAp VC1 or VC2?

I ttied 2 of the CAP tobaccos. Medium and I forget the other one. Did not like them, but some apparently like them?

I got a buddy of mine into DIY here recently, and his second mix happened to be a "custard-y" flavor. He let me try some. It had a hint of the "oh ...." factor that I've been searching for. I asked him for the recipe and here's what he said (mind you, he's new so he hasn't messed with the calculators or percentages yet, and doesn't use nicotine):

30ml batch, 70vg/30pg, 0mg

2ml CAP Cake Batter
2ml CAP Vanilla Custard v1
0.5ml CAP Butter Cream
0.5ml CAP Caramel
0.5ml CAP French Vanilla
0.5ml CAP New York Cheesecake (or Vanilla Whipped Cream, I can't remember)

After having worked with most of these flavors numerous times in numerous variations, I saw only one factor that could be adding the hint I found in his recipe, and that I have been searching for: the CAP Butter Cream. I happened to order some last week direct from Capella, so I have to wait for shipping, but I think it may be one step closer!
