I was thinking about getting a USB wall adapter, and I have a few questions:

1. Is it true that it's not a good idea to use a USB charger on a laptop?

2. Are all of the adapters universal? Some of the ones I've seen don't have any specs in the description... I have read about different mA's (500, 1000, 2000) but does that only apply to using them for PT's and not just for charging?

3. Is it Ok to use an adapter when charging a PCC?

Thanks for any help you can give me...

A USB charger works fine on my laptop, but there is the risk of destroying the system board if the charger or battery develop a problem.

All the adapters put out 5 Volts, but the more mA the better. 500mA should be fine for battery charging, and an underpowered adapter (too little mA) would just take longer to charge the battery. A Passthrough does need at least 1000mA.

3. Is it Ok to use an adapter when charging a PCC?

Yes!
