I searched Amazon for metric dies. I found mine here: http://www.victornet.com/tools/Metric-Dies/133.html
Scroll down until you find part # RDM-7-.5-B
I also bought a cheap handle, to hold the die.
After chasing the threads all the way, the AC9 threads ended up perfect.
I realize this shouldn't be necessary, and is a pain in the neck. But it was either this or be stuck with a $140 rba that didn't work properly.

I'm a newbie at using these tools, but this looks like it's worth getting as you can also fix up threads for other 510 atties. Is it enough to buy the die and just hand twist an atty into it? Or is one of those t-handle things needed as well?

I also got a T handle when I got my die. It makes it easier to hold on to.

Ok. Got 'em ordered & a poldiac on the way. Thanks for the how to.

Sucks we spent so much on such a good rba, to have a flaw like this.

Whats worse is the lack of a solution from the makers. I don't fault them for having a production issue, but not offering a replacement or a fix is BAD!

Is it that the threading doesn't go close enough to the bottom of the base and a die will fix this or that the 510 is to long and needs to be sanded down? Or,will either work?

No experience with dies. Guess I have some reading to do.

With mine, and some others I've seen posted about, the AC9 only screwed into the PV a turn or two, and wouldn't go any farther, without forcing. Upon visual inspection, which I have some experience with, it appeared to me that the threads weren't cut deep enough. When I re threaded it with the die, a tiny bit more material came off. There was a tiny thread of stainless steel, which tells me that I was correct in my observation that the threads were a bit shallow. Once I re cut the threads, the AC9 screwed into the PV properly.

Just got my Poldiac today & the AC9 didn't fit. :( Glad I have the die coming. It won't be here till hopefully monday. So disappointing.
I use my AC9 on my poldiac almost daily... what problem are you having?

It only threads 1 to 1, 1.25 turns in. The threading on my ac9 (second batch) isn't right. I leaves a gap I don't want. I already ordered a die & wrench (Thanks Rule62!!) that's on the way to fix it.

If you read through the thread you'll see what I'm talking about.

Believe me Tenshi, I love the looks of the ac9 on the poldiac. Every time I googled poldiac pics, I always ended up staring at yours several times! Beauty!!

This is exactly the problem I had. What I ended up doing was essentially destroy a cheap PV by forcing the issue repeatedly until I'd fixed the threads on the AC9.

It is a bit comforting to know it wasn't just me, though.

My threads must have been really bad, I couldn't cut them by hand with the die and handle. After a couple turns it just seized up in the die the same as it did on my Paps and P+s. Had to find a wide thick piece of rubber to wrap around the base of the AC9 so I could grab it with a set of tongue-and-groove pliers (without scratching the finish) and cut the rest of the threading.
